About food, big guy.

Quit bringing politics off the political board. It kills the fun of the site.

And drink. What does a brewery make?

This wasn’t on the poli board. This is a specific instance about local breweries. The breweries themselves voluntarily injected the politics. I post about it and you are telling me to “stop bringing in politics”?

Again, if it offends you, stop reading.

If a local brewery hangs a bunch of MAGA shite all over their place, they are going to lose half their customers. And vice versa. What brewery do you know of that can lose half their customers overnight and survive? It's a topic of food business- food service owners doing dumb unnecessary shite like getting involved in politics (either side) that is being discussed.

Impossible to miss your title while reading the board.

Completely possible if it was on the right board.

Yet totally possible to not read or comment. Yet here you are.

Really just trying to frick up a politics thread that is on the wrong board.

It is completely understandable you don't want anyone with competing views in your thread. Most people who suffer from identity politics take a disagreement as a personal attack and respond hysterically.

Again, I don’t seek out the virtue messaging. I was confronted with it by 4 separate breweries, 3 of them local.

Just like no one is forcing me to read this dumpster fire of a thread, no one forced you to follow them on socials. If you don’t like the message, unfollow them.

I’m in complete favor of any market forces that might drive beer prices down.

Minocqua Brewing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin….A VERY red part of the state. Owner is unhinged. Easy to find info about his issues.

I mean I'm not on FB but on Instagram and I don't see an Agile shutdown, so I have no clue what is going on with them

I follow breweries on social media to see what is new or what is events. Obviously them posting political messages make me ignore them or unfollow them. So while I liked their beer now that I unfollow then and will not be a patron hurts them

I don't think they shutdown. Not sure what problems they have been having, but they were open last weekend and there was a recent post of the Redstick Brewmaster's Facebook page about them having beer on tap again?

Thank you for bringing this up.

I homebrew and love sampling craft brewery offerings whenever i travel.

I make it a point to know which ones are being political and avoid them.

This is very relevant to food/drink because with the beer industry contraction, any brewery throwing away customer due to petty political nonsense probably does not deserve to be in business in the first place.

As much as I don't believe this should be on the F&DB, most service industries have been posting this. And I fully support NOLA's right to do so and will continue to purchase their product.

The fact that this breaks grown men is wild.

If you think this will "hurt" any brewery in NOLA then you severely misjudged their core consumer base.

Ah yes, I’m sure missing Falco’s $20 will ruin them.

You could always just skip the thread. Reading it isn’t mandatory.
