There is some truth to that, sadly.

I just opened a Real Ale Russian Imperial Stout as I get my wood burning to cook a smoked chili. I have no idea what their political leanings are, and honestly don’t want to.

So is your prediction that they'll shut down?

NOLA, absolutely. Not for their political virtue signaling but because they have become a shite brewery. This virtue signaling, however, isn’t going to help them.

Yeah, but his schtick is outdated now. Before 2020, it was great because people bought it hook, line, and sinker.

I'm like you, I don't care about it, I know the political leanings of the places I drink from. I know most lean left, and that's fine, it is when they voice that and demonize my leavings that I quit supporting. It's why Courtyard is no part of my NOLA rotation, and it's why a few others are no longer part of it.

Although I was surprised not to see a few breweries make political statements. Glad no BR or Lafayette ones made political statements.

frick off for bringing politics to this board

It’s food industry related as businesses are temporarily closing for politics. Blame the businesses participating in politics rather than normal business. When the owner of Courtyard inevitably steps in his own shite on the internet, we discuss it here

Based on who posted it, this is 100% about politics

And he's an a-hole for dragging this to the board

I’m sorry you’re throwing a fit right now.

And yes it is about politics, that was started when I was bombarded with social media posts from breweries. Again, you don’t have to follow me to this board because you look stupid other places.

It’s Saturday. Go outside, or don’t.

It’s food industry related, and you don’t have to read it. If it ends up closing a bunch of breweries, I’d like to hear about it as would many on this board

If the OP actually gave a frick about the breweries I would be onboard with you. Just using the breweries to spew political rhetoric.

Agile shutdown not really a mention much less a thread
Port Orleans controversy going strong...not a peep.

Sky is falling and this is food related because of some Instagram posts though.

No, I don’t care about NOLA, their beer is shite. Parleaux and Brieux Carre however, i was disheartened to see the same post, but not really surprised especially with Parleaux.

I don’t know this. That sucks, owner is a good dude.

Don’t really care about that mess.

The only people losing their shite are people like you who can’t stand when a brewery’s virtue signaling gets called out. Again, you don’t have to click on thread either but here you are.

Hilarious considering that's exactly what 95% of breweries do. The craft beer brewery scene has always been dominated by ironic mustached hipsters and bat shite leftist. I have been partners in one and silent in a couple more. OP may be a chode but he didn't bring politics to craft beer. They did b

You only care about the breweries when they virtue signal.

I care about the beer not the politics. Especially on this board.

And NOLA beer is shite. Has been shite for a long while.

Well, if it makes it better/worse they aren't shutdown any longer.

But that is probably better discussed in a thread about beer and not beer politics.

Although maybe politics are why they were shut down.

Why must I care about a brewery at all? You act like emotional investment in a brewery is a prerequisite to start a thread about one. It’s a message board, chief. If your feelings are hurt, seek life elsewhere. Or, cope and seethe. Your choice.

Again, I don’t seek out the virtue messaging. I was confronted with it by 4 separate breweries, 3 of them local. If you don’t like that a brewery’s virtue signaling is being called out and used against them, then either give them advise to stop virtue signaling or let them lie in the bed they made. The point of the thread, is that it is rather stupid, IMO, to go woke amid a really bad time for breweries.
