I finally just downloaded way back machine. This is where I found studies about mask effectiveness going back to the Spanish flu that were erased from the internet.
Honestly, everyone needs to first get a vpn service. I have bit defender that is one of the best antivirus anti tracking anti phishing protection out there. It has a great vpn option, it I do worry that they are so known they could give up info if the government comes asking. To stay ahead of the game, you have to get services that are smaller, but established
I currently use Brave and Tor
Get Tor or onion browser. Both have apps. They are slower because they bounce off of several severs across the world.
I’m going to check a few of those listed above: ecosia, yandex, etc
I am constantly trying to evade surveillance.

Most of the time I’m looking for videos. Google is atrocious on this front. DDG and Brave are much better. Just put it in the search box and go to Videos. It’s infinitely better. YouTube on tv, which uses Google search engine never gives anywhere close to what I want, even when I put the exact name of the title of the video

I swear I see DDG a lot come up when I do searches in Brave, like it’s powered by it, much like YouTube is powered by google. Maybe I’m wrong about that

Just realized there is an option in Brave to use DDG if you want. I turned it off

I signed up Brave premium search today $3 a month makes it ad free. Sure its not necessary but there are sooo many services like this I'm willing to pay for to NOT be the product.
Plus I also get to help Brave grow. It's a win win. I've duckduckgo for 3-4 years until today. Although I was starting to dabble in Brave search a bit before this.
