Not everyone is lucky enough to own an eco-friendly death machine like these hipster dickheads.

1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton, 2 ton. I like options.
Suck it.

Hard to pull trailers or carry concrete or lumber in a Corolla.

I’m not a big truck person but apparently in 2020 everything is under attack. What’s next? Boats?

There’s this memoir from the 30s that I love - it’s about a college drop out who walks across Europe, right before WW2 breaks out. He grows up on the road, sleeping in beer halls and gypsy camps.

He talks about these reformers, and what they want to do to his England. In his opinion, they want to make England a dull and unhappy place. They want to rid it of anything fun - sports, from Cricket to Rugby to Horse Racing. They’ll get rid of drinking, and they’ll make everyone wear simple grey cloth.

I haven’t studied Maoist China - but wasn’t that a thing? Cheap and badly fitting clothing?

The next vehicle i get will be a 2500 with diesel, get it paid off, then get my fifth wheel camper and get it paid, then that's my home for retirement.

1968 flat bed F-350.With a transplanted carbon spewer of 460 cubic inches. And a "granny" 4 speed trans that only needs first gear when loaded with oh.. say a ton or two. And I cant forget the two hundred pound front bumper that easily moves these eco-vehicles out of the way. And if needed, would bust down the grocery or ammo store doors down in the "apocolypse". I love this damn truck. Ive got classic muscle cars I'd part with before this truck. Something about that three foot tall shifter?? Or maybe it feels like an M1??

2012 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab

Very handy with hauling from Lowe’s supplies for home projects. Also very comfortable on road trips for a family of four. Lastly I have one last kid in college. This truck has been very handy for multiple dorm and apartment moves for both my kids.

I just had the compressor replaced in my 94 Tahoe 2 door. 4x4 with a 350 in it and plenty of room.

The stuff in the OP is indeed melty, but the truth IS that trucks have been getting bigger and bigger and bigger.

I drive an F350 4x4 dually, because I haul livestock in a big Gooseneck with some regularity. I was thinking of relegating the F350 to ranch use only and getting something small for just running around town and such.

I remembered the old Ford Ranger (which was about 2/3 the size of an F150, back in the day), so I took a look at them. They are now BIGGER than the F150 (granted, not MUCH bigger).

I could not find even ONE manufacturer which produces a SMALL pickup. I did find a few articles indicating that a non-domestic manufacturer is CONSIDERING adding a small pickup to the lineup in a couple of years.

I understand supply and demand. Apparently, I am one of the rare people who actually had a need/desire for a smaller truck.

I guess I will just get the F150, but it is really more than I need for the role I have in mind for it.

According to the media, we've all been getting bigger and bigger. Americans and our plentiful eating and all. And yet, with a few exceptions our vehicles are getting smaller. I shopped pony cars a few years ago,(giving a bit of age away here with that reference) and settled on a Dodge Challenger because the Camaro and Mustang both felt like coffins. And they're large by some standards. At this point in my elder years I'm not willing or wanting to "wear" my car.

Boats have been under attack, due to all the boat parades to support the blue and a Trump. “White privilege at its finest”

I miss those little Toyota trucks we had back in the 80s. They were great for a teenager.
