The road to American Greatness begins with President Trump’s plan to unleash America’s vast oil reserves.

quote:

, in his next administration, the President will finally do what none of his predecessors dared even consider: tap into America’s vast oil reserves, the largest in the world, and unleash their economic power – which has the potential to again restore America’s rightful place at the top of the global econom

quote:

“Drill, Baby, Drill” would also help pay off a chunk of our skyrocketing debt, now upwards of $34 trillion, and potentially unleash an economic renaissance – leading to new technological developments – without precedent in American history.

quote:

In terms of total estimated global oil reserves, a 2016 report estimated the United States to sit on at least 264 billion barrels of recoverable oil reserves, outpacing Russia, which has 256 billion, and Saudi Arabia, with 212 billion. America’s reserves are likely much higher: billions of barrels of crude oil exist from Texas to New York, enough to sustain the United States for the rest of the 21st century, and likely beyond that, if our energy is diversified between a smorgasbord of alternatives – from coal to electric to nuclear.

Goes on to tout our reduction in reliance on foreign oil meaning no more endless wars and more leverage on the global stage, as well as the ability to build out our infrastructure and fix our cities.

The Never-Trump brigade that's currently saturating the other thread will be along shortly to tell us why more drilling and refining is actually bad for America.

Like the extracurricular activities of the sniffer.

You knew about this shite and still voted for him.

You ignored this:

and STILL supported him.

Talk about being in a cult. You probably support the MAP movement too.

The only place a libtard wants to drill is a taxpayer's wallet, since you mention uncomfortable facts.

Not drilling at record levels, but PRODUCING at record levels, yes. Efficiency with shale has gotten to the point there’s no need to have the number of rigs working that we did several decades ago.

The technological advances, along with legislation passed in 2015, is a big reason why we’ve been a net “total petroleum products” exporter since, I think, sometime in 2019.

I like the idea. I assume this means he’s now open to federal oil & gas leasing off the Atlantic and Florida coasts.

This but the majority of our aging refineries are set up for heavy crude. Shale oil is lighter and requires a cracker to process. Investment is needed to update the majority of our refineries.

They’re still busy for oil in Texas, however, NW Louisiana has essentially shut down Natural Gas drilling. Only the rigs that are still drilling for it are working. The others are stacked up. Pretty sad that it was busy busy busy then Biden halted the LNG and it abruptly stopped

I have a friend that use to work for BP. He commented one day that there are plenty of capped wells in the Gulf to keep us in oil for many years.

You hit the nail on the head at the end of your statement. It isn't the drilling rate, but the refining capacity that really impacts US fuel supply/prices. "Drill, Baby, Drill" is a catchy phrase...but it should be "Distill, Baby, Distill".

This represents the problem with trump. Regardless of facts he only has the same old tired talking points that may or may not be relevant. He's nothing but a big prop to beat up on Hillary. Problem is it isn't 2016

Investment which is not happening under this administration.

Hence the elevated prices persisting despite the claims from our resident lines on how Biden is doing just fine with o&g

Wasn’t Trump the worst energy president in recent memory? Cheap foreign oil bankrupted the US energy sector all four years of his term. Thousands of US companies went bankrupt and billions of US dollars in investments were lost.
But I’m sure he’ll do better next time.

We have been producing more than when Trump was in office. The excess is exported.

You fools have zero idea about crude oil and refining. All that light tight shale crude flooding the market would force refineries into bankruptcy without imported heavy crudes like from Canada and Mexcio being blended into them.
