“Don’t be afraid of it, don’t let it dominate you”

This is what’s got the press upset? What’s the alternative? “Be afraid, let it dominate you”.
So we should all sit around shaking, afraid to leave our house. That’s the goal?

That is so Anti-American,
and it is what the left wants America to be.

I think it's not a bad statement but wtf is this logic? I can think of many alternatives between that straw man statement you came up with and what was actually said.

President Trump with the right message.

Cucks on the left like being dominated.

The distinction is between living in fear and not. The press clearly has a problem with encouraging the American people to NOT live in fear, so I don’t know what squishy middle ground lies between. From the start, the media has been a consistent, wailing fire alarm encouraging fear. Their position towards the President’s statement is hardly surprising.

Of course; instilling fear is the media's job

Democrats, even crippled ones used to be masculine men. FDR faced a paralyzed nation and famously said, “The only thing to fear is fear itself”!
The left loved him! Now the leftist claim, “The only thing to fear is Orange Man Bad, and TOXIC MASCULINITY!”
Soy Boys! Fricken Soy Boys and frumpy, hairy, maleducated white girls who lead them by their shriveled testicles.

According to democrats, yes. We should let them dictate our every moves.
Glad POTUS has the balls to say this. Wish more would feel this way.

Ok, Hank. Why is the press pissed at the President's statement?
Posted on 10/6/20 at 7:47 am to Dawgfanman
I just keep asking those that are pissed if they get mad when someone other than the President posts,”I beat cancer and so can you” “don’t be afraid of cancer, you can beat it like I did” “yes, ........is a terrible illness, but I won’t let it control me” and so on. I haven’t found one person that can give me a legit response.
I’ve seen people post numerous times where they beat something that I lost a friend or family member to and I don’t get mad at them one bit. Yes you wish the person close to you would’ve made it, but you don’t get mad at someone who did and for them encouraging others to not be scared of fighting. We’ve all seen the videos of people ringing the bell in the cancer hospital after fighting for years and there aren’t any negative comments that go along with the video.
This is just another sign of hypocrisy and more proof that Dems act like this for no other reason than the fact its Trump.

Perhaps you have read more articles than I.

Not sure about the press, but what has me upset is that the MFer didn't start saying this back in Feb-Mar timeframe.

Go watch a little recap of CNN yesterday afternoon.
To sum up their reaction...

Remember when American were supposed to be brave? You tell people to be brave now and the left has a meltdown.
Posted on 10/6/20 at 8:08 am to Dawgfanman
Don’t question the Dems and just let them tell you what to do. They know what’s best for you.

“‘Don’t be afraid of Covid’ is an evil thing to say to those of us who lost our loved ones to Covid 19,” Representative Ilhan Omar, a Democratic congresswoman from Minnesota whose father died from complications of Covid-19, wrote on Twitter. “This man is unfit to be President, he lacks the compassion and humanity it takes to lead our country.”

Trump is wrong and this is a dangerous message
Don’t be afraid of Covid? Say what? Don’t be afraid of a pandemic that has killed nearly 210,000 Americans and more than 1 million people worldwide? That has run rampant without any coherent federal policy to try to combat it? If he meant when he said, “Don’t be afraid” that we actually should be terrified, that would be one thing.
CNN
quote:
"'Take off your mask, be defiant, we can beat this virus, it's all hype,'" Hotez said on CNN's "New Day", paraphrasing Trump's advice. "Many people find him very compelling and will do and follow all of his actions, and his statements and his tweets, and he put out the message that let this thing rip, don't let it interfere with your daily activities. Don't be fearful, let's have 400,000 Americans dead."
Ok Hank. Now that i did the leg work for you, why is the media angry over Trump's comment?
