So Trump is making threats to an American citizen to either support his side or he will use the system to give him consequences?

Your little handed dictator sure is taking form.

I don’t think he’s too very concerned about some folks whining and crying about this. Hence, his lack of reluctance to say it openly. He probably assumes folks are smart enough to know that this exact tone is what exists throughout the entire “world” of the processes of what’s been mentioned here insofar as government contracts etc are concerned.

Y’all seriously think it’s a sweet and completely “fair” process to begin with? Surely y’all are just being intentionally obtuse just to bolster your own emotionally driven narratives on this, eh? Maybe in the uber perfect world Trump could’ve just I guess not stated what’s already the obvious? Yeah, sure, I suppose so. But it ain’t a perfect world, and if I’m finding something to justify this very relatively minuscule action on his part……I don’t think I’d have to talk myself into it too much considering the fact that Musk knowingly put something out there into the public sphere that he knows better than to actually be true, i.e. a vague insinuation that Trump had some part in the worst aspects of the whole Epstein thing. In fact I’d say that action was much worse than what Trump said.

You can’t accuse someone of being a sexual predator and expect the relationship to be repaired.

Pulling government contacts, weaponizing agencies to put Elon or his businesses under scrutiny (Obama's IRS come to mind?), hell even the fact that he's publicly threatened consequences is unacceptable in my book. The government has no right to infringe on a citizen's rights because they dared oppose their party.
Agreed

Oh really? Since when? How did you find out?

you are pure evil
because you made up a bunch of crazy accusations? Wouldn’t that make you the evil one?

Noted.

I’m not sure why you people so desperately want me to be a pro-trans, atheist family hater. I hate to rain on your parade but posting that a million times still won’t make it true.

I’ve been married for ten years with 3 kids. We attend mass as a family every week.

I want to thank everyone for this thread. MAGA in-fighting is incredible entertainment.

The TMZ reality show administration continues to deliver the drama

I don’t think it’s “MAGA infighting.” I think it’s just the usual never Trump haters who are clearly willing to trade in the country’s wellbeing for poking their fingers in Trump’s chest. The craziest part about it though is that Trump couldn’t care less about their crusade against him. I’m sure to him they’re just tossed into the same pile as progressives and their cousins on the left who mimic the same exact attitude towards Trump. One would think that if and when you find yourself aligned with the most radical of those on the left side of the spectrum, that would shock them into better sense. But nope.

Maybe. But from what I’ve observed Trump couldn’t care less about any of us, MAGA diehards included. Dude is all about him. He does care about being criticized though. That much is obvious. He can’t handle it.

I hope he is not thinking of using the central government to go after someone for personal reason or because they choose to spend their money on some cause he doesn't like. That's the sort of crap Biden and Obama did.

Everything Trump utters these days has the optics of pay to play.

If you fund the left, he’ll take away his contracts? Can’t believe some of you guys are supporting this crap.

If Trump is all about pay to play, then wouldn't Elon be the golden child?

If Trump is dumping Elon after all the money he spent, then Trump is not doing pay for play. Elon paid, but he's not playing, now is he? Pointing to Trump's fallout with his biggest donor as evidence that he is pay for play is laughable.

Logically, it is nonsensical. It would be like pointing to Trump's NAACP award as proof he is a racist.

That we are at this point proves that Trump isn't pay for play. If he was, there wouldn't have been a falling out, because he would be doing what Musk wants. You're basing your argument on what's occurred in the 2nd act while ignoring everything from the first.

So you're down with finding the left? They've got enough funding and look what the left has done with it

Why should he have to pay consequences for supporting whomever he wants? Imagine if Biden told him not to support Trump last year or there would be consequences for him

I take it that’s a rhetorical question? Because we must first determine whether you have an open mind to answers and possibilities that are adverse to your own.

I’d say there’s negative chance that you are willing to consider opposing opinions. You and everyone else in this thread.

He's warning Elon of major consequences, i.e government retaliation against Elon, if he give money to Dems.

Why would Trump say this?

Because his ego won't allow him to just roll with the punches. He simply can't keep his mouth shut.

Both of these guys are frustrated by the uniparty and are now pointing fingers at each other. It sucks. Back to normal now.
