Do you mean the same truth social that somehow lost $400 million in 2024, yet somehow has a market valuation of $4.4 billion?

Do you realize Twitter was barely ever profitable and still worth billions long before Elon showed up?

Amazon bled money for years before it made a dime, yet somehow investors kept throwing billions at it. Uber, Airbnb, etc, same story. Some companies valued at billions and losing money made it, some didn’t. Welcome to how venture capital and market valuations actually work.

Trump’s growth in net worth right now is tied to the stock price of his publicly traded company, not some shady backroom deal like you’re trying to claim.

So maybe find a new talking point, because this one’s clearly over your head and making you look even more retarded than we already knew you were.

Not sure about you, but my wealth keeps going up. I am pretty diverse and not just sitting on cash, letting inflation eat away at my wealth.

That's usually what happens when you pay restitution.

If you can't pay you sit in jail.

quote:

Binance paid a record-breaking $4.3 billion in its own settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice.

quote:

Zhao pleaded guilty to violating the Bank Secrecy Act in November 2023, agreeing to step down as CEO, pay $50 million and serve a brief prison sentence.

quote:

Zhao served four months in prison in 2024

That would be a brief prison sentence.

All that would do is put his life in more jeopardy in a state prison.

The lack of understanding in this thread about how any of this works is mind numbing.

Trump strikes me as the guy who would make them donate to a charity or buy down the US debt for their pardon.
Even if that's the case, if paying down the national debt can buy someone a pardon, doesn’t that make justice a transactional privilege instead of a principle?

If 99.999% of the public can’t “earn” forgiveness that way, aren't you really talking about a loophole for the ultra-wealthy?

Looks like the guy paid a massive settlement and served his time. After 2 minutes of reveiw and half hearted consideration, I don't care about this.

I’m sure you would 100% have the same reaction if Biden or Obama did the exact same thing. Congratulations on not being an ideologue I guess.

Are we sure that's what happened, or are we just having a TDS tantrum?

Trumps net worth has doubled to $7+ billion since he's been in office, what do you think? He's literally making all his money off crypto right now.

Personally, I don't like or think the optics are particularly good for Trump 2.0 to be pimping some Trump crypto currency but if people want to surrender their hard earned dollars speculating on crypto who are we to criticize them for their potentially poor decisions?

. It has nothing to do with "lining his pockets" for political favors.
That's perhaps true directly of him, but the people around him are very clearly using the crypto piece to outright pay to play. It's very clear corruption. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump himself didn't know all that much about it.

You’re missing the point.

POTUS taking money/personal favors for pardons is bad. Real bad. CZ owes a debt to society and because he’s connected/wealthy just got to wash his hands of it all.

Trump, and Trump alone, made that happen.
