Good news for 3m is the will of the American people is usually pretty poor as of late, combine that with 24 hour news cycle and a press that doesn’t report things evenly and you can ride our backlash.

The killer for them is the gov

yeah my understanding its the distribution system that has been the problem. I think Trump is telling 3M where to direct those masks

And what right does the govt have to tell a private business who they can and can't do business with.

Normally this would be correct but in case you haven't noticed, this is not a normal time.

Wait, so there are other countries that have more $$ than us to buy 59 cent painter's masks and 3M is profiting from them over us.

We are in more trouble than I thought, we can't out bid Uganda or Nigeria for mask.

This is just ANOTHER over reach of our GOVT.

I know this much about it, next time that I buy Masking Tape, Duct tape, sand paper etc..stuff that I buy all of the time, it won't be from 3-M.

He definitely needs a mask.

Not for virus protection, but because he's so ugly it's sickening.

Yep, Trump was grandstanding and MMM is the known name, it is the distributers that are to blame, MMM does not retail mask.

Does anyone know where 3M has production facilities for the mask? I assume they have both plants in the US and outside but I could be wrong

Good for us, I think 3M is going to regret all this.

Glad I didn't pull the trigger on that stock purchase. I suspect they're going to get hammered today.

Not really. Everyone knew. This is like the Georgia governor saying he just learned about asymptomatic spread.

Hilarious how many of you believe that distributors that 3M willingly contracts with and who they directly authorize to use the 3M logo all of a sudden have NOTHING AT ALL to do with 3M.

3M is innocent!

(Its also obvious that you same folk didn’t watch the TuCa interview with the FL Director of Emergency Management where he stated in direct and simple terms about how he called up 3M executive management directly and told them about this and received a virtual shrug in response.)

In fairness to 3M, they have regular distributors and customers all over the world who are placing big orders. I would guess that they want to try to keep those customers after this situation. As a private company, they can try to fill as many orders as they can. This creates an opportunity for another manufacturer to try to horn in on 3M’s business.
