In a world where everything is political, there’s zero chance Trump’s DOJ charges Tucker with anything. A lot of Trump’s base still listens to Tucker

Are they going to charge Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz too?
I'm not in the scif right now but I'll check when I get there.

In a world where everyone else thinks everything is political, I could see Trump arresting anyone.
Tucker won't be because he very intentionally doesn't break the law so he can say shite like this.

So now we're pro CIA spying on Americans text messages and the US Govmt charging journalists on sham charges?
A) we have no idea if Tucker’s being truthful
B) we have no idea what Tucker may have done if he did actually get himself into this pickle
If the cia is just spying on dissenting citizens, not super cool. If the cia has its eye on a guy that could be crossing lines we don’t know about- maybe a little more justified.
If Tucker is fabricating yet another make believe story, not cool of him

At the highest level of politics (which we’re talking about) everything is political. You’re a child to think otherwise.

Paging SFP... what's this mean?
First of all, relying on disinfo agents and self-anointed forum gatekeepers is a bad call.

Foreign agent crime?
What does that mean? He's a podcaster, not a government agent or "servant" or even a lobbyist...
Secondly, yes. Tucker is just a podcaster -- although, a popular one with great influenece.
It "means" he's being intimidated and threatened into shutting-up and shutting down truth....OR ELSE. ( It's also a reminder that EVERYONE is a potential "criminal".)
MAGA!!!

While I wish that were true, FISA allows for spying on US citizens if they communicate with foreign nationals.
Valid point. And I can understand the necessity of it should that communication involve a US citizen being involved in treason or espionage against our own country. But I think we all know that incrementalism has led such surveillance to take place well beyond that limited scope.

I like SFP... he's probably on my top 15 list.

Or it means Tucker is full of shite. Maybe he's not... but maybe he is.

Not commenting on the charges themselves. Mainly because while I'm not a fan of the current Tucker... I'm not going to latch onto this to pile on because idk a damn thing about this particular situation.
That being said.
Tucker is an extremely influential political podcaster. I dare to claim he has more influence than a lot of congressmen or senators. Even president Trump , and other politicians, in the past, latched onto shite Tucker said and piggybacked off of it to try and promote huge changes.
I don't understand why he would be singled out when a lot of very popular political influencers are also probably receiving some foreign funding to push certain messages at the behest of foreigners. That's what propagandists do and propagandists have been a staple in our country for a very long time.
Either make propagandists (taking money to manipulate the audience) an illegal profession... or just ignore it like always. It's dumb to only go after one person.

Could be an IC play to have Tucker discredit himself. Would be a pretty savvy move

Very sensible take, I agree.
