VT would certainly be the political outlier here.

Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine are super white and not a lot of poverty or diversity there.

i spend a week up there in the fall and they are very pro "lives that are nowhere near them" mattering according to all the signs.

This is like the 7th lie you've made up about me in this thread. Aren't you embarrassed?

I didn't set the criteria that allowed some middle income families to receive the $40 in food stamps, but I also don't really have a big problem with that either.

Do you actually not understand the program you are advocating for or are you being intentionally misleading about the amounts?

quote:

Families in participating states will receive $40 per eligible child each month of summer in addition to the availability of free summer meals programs.

USDA Benefit Explanation

$40 PER child, PER month, IN ADDITION to free summer meals.

You can’t when you make threads like this.

Again, you are bitching here about something and you have no idea what you want?

How much money would it take to make you happy and would you go away after given that much more money?

The answer is no. You won’t. There’s always something else.

Start a charity. Feed the children. Or don’t. Just continue to bitch here and wait for mommy gov.

I think you will wait for mommy gov like you people tend to do.

This was my experience spending every summer in Seattle when I was growing up, too. Everyone was a champion for the black man, but the nearest one lived hundreds of miles away.

In Orleans Parish, kids are off for 6 weeks in the summer. We got a $40 EBT card for last summer.

I doubt that any public school in Louisiana is out for for three full months in the summer.

Why are you on this board complaining to some of the people that give the most?

What affect do you think you are having?

Notice she never talks about the failure of the parents here.

Though government programs have been trying to stomp out poverty for 60 years, with little success.

Government programs help marginal people escape their parental responsibilities.

Yup. and the more you subsidize their lifestyle, the more of them we will have.

I get tha cubbies has a big heart and wants to help people. But being an enabler isn’t a solution. It’s a dysfunction.

You are complaining that LA is not spending as much tax payer money like you believe should be done.

That’s clear. I don’t know what act you think you are pulling.

Why do you think I'm being so hard on her?

This is her shtick.

She's AggieHank with lady parts, only she isn't nearly as smart.

She is not seeking discourse.

She is seeking to troll and virtue-signal.

She has no problem in lying to make her "point".
