I agree with OP on this one - of all the stupid crap on which we waste taxpayer dollars this isn’t one of them.

Now I think there should be corresponding cuts (Ukraine and Israel) but this is one of those rare programs I’m happy to help fund.

Is this your advice to pregnant women who are considering abortion? Don’t get pregnant?
How many of those people became spontaneously pregnant? Are you suggesting that we have immaculate conceptions all over the place? Might want to let the Catholic church know about it. They still think there was only one.

That's because she profits from their failure.

The suffering of others empowers her.

I detest abortion and would never encourage anyone to get an abortion. I don't support criminalizing abortion. Outlawing abortion doesn't decrease abortion rates and it doesn't address the root causes that lead a woman to consider abortion.

quote:

research from the Guttmacher Institutes demonstrates just how misguided and dangerous it is to try to limit abortion access. The data shows that abortion rates are roughly the same in countries where abortion is broadly legal and in countries where it isn't. And abortion rates are actually four times higher in low-income countries where abortion is prohibited than in high-income countries where it is broadly legal

You are complaining that LA is not spending as much tax payer money like you believe should be done.

I'm not complaining at all. I asked a question.

So, short answer, you’re pro-life.

I mean, it kind of looks like you’re trying to walk a line here.

Most people dont care that poor kids get food from taxpayers because their parents are total failures.

In Orleans Parish, kids are off for 6 weeks in the summer. We got a $40 EBT card for last summer.

I doubt that any public school in Louisiana is out for for three full months in the summer.

Don't know how long Louisiana kids are out of school in the summer. But I DO know that there are nearly 900 summer meal sites where ANY Louisiana child can get free meals however long their summer lasts.

Louisiana Fit Kids

No income verification, no one will ask if they qualify for free or reduced lunch, or SNAP. They just feed them, no questions asked, because no kid should go hungry. Some places will even deliver the meals to the child's home, as someone stated earlier.

So that $40 EBT card is IN ADDITION to free summer meals and whatever benefits a family already receives.
