“Moral authority” is completely irrelevant. Morality is between the individual and his god or whatever higher power he is judged by.

Legal authority is all that matters in this policy arena.

Making murder illegal has nothing to do with the church.

Anyone that believes in "separation of church and state" really needs to go back to history class. This was in a letter not a govt law doc. It's like saying the Statue of Liberty intent was to welcome all the worlds poors.

Our country's foundation is based on Judeo-Christian values, and the Bible was it's law from the start. Ten Commandments is key to our laws.

No. We have legal prohibitions on many things that are prohibited in the Bible. Murder, theft, etc

Well stated. No further explanation necessary.

Well apparently it does. People that dont go to church support abortion overwhelmingly

And the non-religious also think murder and theft should be illegal.

ETA I was reading your text instead of your image.

Gallup polling over time

The country is split on this issue. The media would have you believe that the majority are pro choice.

Why don’t religious people count to you?

So you're good with me hoping in a car after drinking a bottle or two of bourbon and running a few red lights, possibly a head on collision that takes the life of another person, because it's my decision to do so?

To begin with there is no such thing as a separation between church and state. That is a narrative pushed by the left. The only thing that is stated is that no one state endorsed religion. But hypothetically let’s go with your thought that making abortion criminal blurs the lines. Why stop there, why not murder also?

You are gonna do it whether i say you should be able to or not. I support your freedom to make that choice and would be against a law banning alcohol because it gives you the option to make that choice

You think if the religious didnt vote then murder would be legal? So you are one of those people that think without religion humans are incapable of having morals? That is a very sad viewpoint

So who decides what is and isn't moral if there is no authority? What is the baseline?
