You're under the impression voters aren't allowed to consider their religion when voting?

A civilization that rubber stamps murder as a partisan or "Church and State" issue is a society that will fail.

By the way, this is a very stupid OP.

No one is making abortion criminal. They are making it more inconvenient. You'll have to drive your car a bit.

I think Louisiana has a bill to make it criminal.

Even non Christian nations do not allow murder. You don't have to be religious to oppose abortion. Plenty of atheists are against it as well. Nat Hentoff for example.

Many atheists and agnostics are against murder.

Sorry you don't get to decide that abortion is murder.

No. There are secular groups who also believe life begins at conception based solely on biology. One of them, Secular Pro-Life, is run by an atheist.

It is murder. If you are pro-abortion, you are in favor of murdering an unborn human being.

Correct. That authority rightfully belongs to, and soon will lie with, state legislatures.

There’s no laws that are good, selfless, or moral that would pass without the “religious” vote…. Unless your “religious” people are Muslims. And I’m sure if they swayed the vote, women would LOVE to be ruled by muslim law, right?????

On matters not specifically delegated to Congress in the Constitution, or matters not specifically denied to the States in the Constitution.....yes, state legislatures are the highest authority.

Did you fail basic civics, or is the concept of dual sovereignty too complicated for you?

Good thing im not pro-abortion or pro-life. Im in favor of the freedom for each person to make their own choice and live with whatever they decide.

The law of the land is that murder is illegal. There is nothing Biblical about that. Giving something a marketing name to make it sound softer than what it is has dire effects.

I was alluding to moral authority. The incorruptible state legislature

Just because religious organizations advocate against something doesn't mean they are trying to religiously interfere with the law.

Great. Write your state legislator and express your opinion to them.

Your opinion on abortion is totally irrelevant to the federal government.
