Dr. Doomsday is going to need 12 more months of controlled clinical trials before he can form an opinion meanwhile until then stay the course

That’s very intriguing, but it has little or no significance in terms of a scientific conclusion.

I know a guy who got it and is on a vent and dialysis and will probably die.

I also know a guy who got better after taking the combo.

It’s not a panacea. It almost certainly helps. And we should be using it.

"Scientific Conclusion" isn't on the table with regards to how we move forward in the short term.

We don't have that luxury. Suggesting we wait for a "scientific conclusion" shows your lack of intelligence.

Liberals will now fight to ban the medication and try to ruin this doctor for saying it helps.

Do you people think that this medicine is not already in use? Y’all all seem to think that the doctors in Louisiana are too stupid to try it.

We are trying it. We are giving it to patients when they admit to the hospital. We are giving it to people on vents. We are giving it to people who are symptomatic outpatient.

People are still dying. It may work to some degree but people are still dying. It is not the miracle cure people seem to think it is.

True or false: The virus hasn't been around for years and years to study.

True or false: "Scientific conclusion" typically requires years of clinical trials and 10s (if not 100s) of millions of dollars to spend on those double-blind efficacy studies.

True of false: The thousands of folks who have serious cases NOW and will develop serious (and sometimes fatal) cases over the coming weeks simply don't have years of time to wait.

It doesn't have to be a cure. It just needs to move the needle enough to reopen the economy.

It is an accurate and appropriate response. You’re reduced to hysterical retort?
