I'm waiting for you to tell me why both of the above can't be true at the same time?

(I tried to be civil but that was not responded to in kind, so...)

You know what I'm waiting for?

I'm waiting for you to figure out that whatever doomsday fear porn websites you are addicted to are really not good for you and also that they are annoying for everyone here.

Go get a sandwich board sign to wear, write "The End Is Near" on both sides of it, get you a bell to ring, and go wander the streets of your town shouting and preaching your doomsday nonsense and leave everyone here alone with it.

I don't know what the mental problem you have is, where you're not happy unless you're clutching your pearls about society collapsing, but I don't have it, so I'm frankly not interested in wringing my hands along with you.

I wish we could as a country all row in the same direction. But it seems half the country wants to go one way and half another way.

So your saying there is no crisis?

I'm just trying to understand your position.

Yes. Exactly. The position in November was that the nation was in danger. So now, I supposes, three months later that Trump is trying to fix alot of problems and overcome alot.

So we are still in crisis. Obviously more hopeful, but struggling to save the country.

Are you saying the struggle is over and we have won?

Yes, we are headed for a war. Could be a civil war. Unless someone believes that all of the ill-will the world has towards the USA has finally run out, the next big 9/11 or Pearl Harbor has happened yet, but it’s coming.

I feel positive about the future of the country. Just because a bunch unstable TDS freaks want to freak out about everything doesn't change the way I feel about America. God Bless President Trump.

Added to all you say, day-to-day survival is reaching a point of no return for many. As a senior I'm feeling the pinch in my pocketbook like never before. I'm looking for a 2nd p/t job just to make ends meet forget about a leisurely retirement traveling the globe. And food, never did I think I'd be passing by every cut of beef and over joyed to find whole chickens on sale for 99 cents/lb. So do I think we're in a crisis, you bet I do, and not only because I'm suffering. I've been around long enough to experience the 50's, 60's and see a decline in values, values that helped make this country great. With the exception of the end of the Jim Crow caste system in the 60's, what else can we point to as an achievement that has benefited its citizens?

So my question is answered. About half of you agree that we are in a fight for our lives. The other half are giddy school girls

Your math is not very good. More like 95-5 in favor of the giddy school girls.

The challenges are profound When the medium home value is way out of line with the medium family income, and insurance costs, food, fuel and groceries are through the roof, we have real problems.

And then you have the millions of jobs exported overseas and replaced by low paying retail and food service jobs, sales jobs, etc.

Trump is doing all the right things. And he is being very courageous. But with this crazy system of ours, he has two years to the next election, and the possible lose of Congress. Not to mention a possible initial price bump from the much needed tariffs. Or an uptick in unemployment due to federal downsizing.

So how much positive will we have to show for all this in one year and nine months before the next election?

This country has been neglected and pillaged for years and years. Thank God for Trump. But if you think this is over, you're insane. This is an uphill battle, and the American people have not learned a thing and cannot be relied on.

I can’t say as I disagree with you. I’m pretty worried that the left will deliberately tank the government and filibuster anything to ensure a shutdown.

How it goes from there will decide if this country survives.

I think his thought is that the cancer was here for so long that even the best chemo may not be enough.

He could be right and this is the last chance we have.

The chemo is not working. Thats why we need Trump and Elon to use the scapple to cut the cancer out. Unfortunately, once the "doctors" are done cutting all the cancer they find, there is usually some remaining that they missed. Given a little bit of time, that remaining cancer spreads faster than the original cancer and kills the host.

I hope they can cut it all out.

Musk said the other day that we have to cut whole Departments and Agencies, or it will all come back once the Democratic win an election.

He called it "getting at the roots".

And he is right. Even if Tump cuts a trillion off the deficit, the democrats will add every bit of it back.

They don't care if this country collapses. In fact, they want it.

People talk about drugs being addictive. But the most addictive drug in the world is money. Period. And when you cut off corrupt organizations addicted to ripping off taxpayers they will fight back. They will disrupt and destroy everything to keep that money machine feeding them.

That is the threat. The leftists are fighting for their yearly millions in grants and handouts while the rest of us run out of money paying. Time to stop the Government grift and imprison the grifters.

For years, you "conservatives" have complained that Trump spends too much and that spending will lead to our collapse. Yet, now that Trump is doing cuts, he's just going to make us collapse even faster?

Do you see why it's hard to take you people seriously?

Going to disagree there.

They just don’t think, especially about the future. It’s all about “if it feels good do it”. They cannot conceive of a breakdown of basic services. They think someone will “do something” if they just want it badly enough.

To me if you want to destroy a society you go after the nuclear family. The left and feminism have completely destroyed that. Their goal is to destroy any and all formal institutions and replace them with the government. That’s a major problem for our society that can’t be changed quickly if at all.
