The other thesis is we understand transgender medicine better than ever, and know the pathophysiology is not unlike other Disorders of Sex Development, along with their associated sequelae. People who present with gender dysphoria absent a karyotypic cause are given the same choice in how to present as those with a karyotypic cause. Overall, Disorders of Sex Development are exceedingly common, and it is no surprise that previous generations didn’t capture their prevalence.

Rob smith (young, conservative, gay black dude) has a great explanation of this trans explosion.
He says all these kids are gay, but otherwise normal, and are being convinced that their homosexuality is some type of mis-gendering and thus they should become trans. In essence, it’s an anti-gay movement.

There were a subset of kids who came out as gay to shock their classmates.
After a couple years, being gay didn’t shock anyone.
They needed a new high. Trans is a pretty good way to get a new shock high.

Sky rocketed from very few to a handful more? Yea. Small numbers can grow seemingly real fast with a few factors contributing.
1) yes, some toy with the idea to fit in
2) yes, some actually feel safer coming out now
3) yes, I think threads like this also get a bit of “momentum” once they get going and people get a bit carried away

Going from 1 to 3 isn’t a big deal.
Pretending that a nationwide trend of a marked increase in rapid onset gender dysphoria isn’t anything of import might make you feel more woke. It’s not particularly astute.

There are more Trans Kids than there was.
There are more parents who take their two year old seriously when they say they want to be the opposite gender.

In a way yes, but not in the sense the left would think.
Before 2015 being trans was still very much joked about. Just think of early and mid-2000's movies like "Dude Where's my Car"
It really wasn't until Jenner came out did things take off. This is somewhat funny because most trans hate Jenner. Then we had the trans-bathroom chaos. That further put transgenderism into the spotlight. So idk if it's more acceptance as it is more mainstream, in public, and more awareness. AKA the media won't STFU about less than .06% of the population.
But I would say there is more of an acceptance in the workplace. I know of two openly transwomen that entered medical school in 2015 (Ph.D. and MD) that put on their application they were males because they assumed there would be a stigma against them. One had just started the hormones if I remember right. Only once accepted did they notify the schools that they were identifying as transgender.
So think, back in the '90s and 2000s would your workplace, or post-graduate program be as accepting as they are now?
but I lean towards no, and the only reason they are "Accepting" is because of fear of being canceled and attacked.

I figure lots of "gays" fantasize often about being the opposite gender.

Don't discount the role teachers have played in this nonsense, ( although not so much this year)

To me,Trans means you actually go through with the actual transition and get the surgery. If not, you’re a cross dresser on hormone pills.. I think most don’t get the surgery cause there’s no turning back and may wake up one day not wanting to be a boy or girl anymore.
