Elon has enough billions in space X, X, xAI and Boring. He will be fine

I appreciate musk, but no need to go out of way for him. A man who has 14+ kids with god knows how many women is no martyr

I won’t lie. A buddy got a rivian, it’s better… but they both make good cars. They just aren’t practical, I will always buy gas over electric personally

I know a Republican nurse in L.A. that owns a Tesla as a second car. Works good for her as a commuter car. She doesn’t take long trips in it though.

It's worth it. We left Hughes net an run 2 houses with streaming TVs off one unit with the booster. Works great for us.
I looked into for the farm. I'm kind of wooded and if I recall, it needs a good southern sky and my southern sky is beyond the cable limit for Skylink. So, I went with Hughesnet. It's servicable but not ideal. Going from fiber at home to Hughesnet is a big drop off.

ETA - why the hell would someone downvote this?

I've taken the tesla on many, many long trips. Zero issues.

Were you able to find one of Kamala's billion dollar charging stations? I think there were 8, total. They must be nice.

Maybe they don't agree with you?

I live in a mountain community in WNC that is heavily wooded. I bought a gen 3 starlink because it was going to take 2 months for the ISP to hook me up.

I never mounted it permanently because I knew I was getting fibre in a couple of months. I just set the starlink on the back deck (not ideal) but was surprised to get 85 down and 12 up speeds which was adequate for WFH and streaming.

Great product.

I thought Starlink was faster than that. I get 180 down on my phone, a little less with my Firestick TV but really slow upload like 3-4. I have to turn my VPN off on my laptop because it makes it painfully slow. My best southern sky is probably 200 ft from the router. It's been a while since I researched it but I'm thinking they didn't like distances greater than 150 feet.

You can get a 3-5 year old model 3 with 50k-ish miles for $20k. It sure is tempting. I even have a place to park it that is covered but not combustible. Hmmm

Elon is sacrificing nothing.

He’s playing long ball in a massive game of power.

ETA: our fleet of vehicles are thirsty as frick

I would use one for a commuter since my Gen 1 Raptor gets 13mpg. But it's another vehicle to clog my garage and driveway and I don't want to spend 50K on a commuter.
But I wouldn't be opposed to owning one for the purpose of a work car.
