I was seriously considering the CyberTruck, then I saw a Rivian.

Not political. Just a nicer-looking vehicle.

Asian people love them some Tesla's. Not sure if they follow any political line, my guess is they don't like socialism so.

A friend of mine in a rural area of north Alabama...a neighbor a couple of blocks away owned an EV. Don't know what brand. It was in the garage charging overnight. Storms came, power goes out. When the power comes back on, the surge cause the EV battery to catch fire. The whole house burned to the ground, and the EV itself burned for 3 days.

No one in that neighborhood will ever buy an EV.

My neighbor and both of her adult sons own Teslas.
They are all far-right and didn’t buy the cars for the far-left green ??

Some do. For some, owning an EV makes sense, and Tesla is one of the better ones to own.

For me personally, owning an EV doesn’t make any sense. Too many miles on the road where I don’t know WTF to find a charging station.

They're starting to. I plan on getting a Cybertruck and a model S for the wife in the next couple of years. Waiting on them to work out more bugs on the CT.
Everybody I speak to laughs at people who buy a Cybertruck.

Model S? Hell yes, that's an awesome car.

I've taken the tesla on many, many long trips. Zero issues.

Yeah, I guess I am not keen on having to plan out the recharging but I imagine once you're used to it its no big deal.

From what I've heard, they have a great operating system and software to run the car. My brother-in-law drives one and that was his feedback is that he preferred their software but like the rivian build of the car better

I thought Starlink was faster than that.

It is if it is mounted properly and has an unobstructed view of the northern sky. My numbers reflect that I had it placed on my back deck looking partially through trees that had lost their leaves.

Cell phone service is also crappy here as well.

Gotcha. I thought it was southern sky but I'm screwed either way with a northern sky. My RV which pretty imovable is in a small opening in a wooded area surrounded by trees. My Hughesnet runs a coax about 100 ft or so to my neighbors back yard and catch a SE look - just barely over his trees. I had DISH in the same spot but my special ran out and they wanted to almost double the price. I'm not up there enough plus my only internet was a hot spot. I like this much better even with the limitations.
