So you are signing up for that $15 an hour lawyer pay scale?

Silly comparison using a market-based fee.

What that even supposed to mean?

I hope we can also all agree that silly Gen X and boomer comments like "give up your coffee and avocado toast" are completely unproductive and irrational in the discussion. Or the comments that imply being able to see housing price are inflated involves some sort of envy/jealousy on the part of the observer. Housing is most inflated in areas like California and New York and I have no interest in moving to either. Being able to observe the issue doesn't require personal investment (now the opposite is tougher, but that's another discussion)

Might be more relevant to only look at the past 20 years in that case

Only about 5% of F150s sold are single cab and that's mainly for fleet trucks.
Wouldn't matter, you'd find some fault with that too, because it doesn't fit into your narrative. You'd then say we needed to compare specific packages, then specific colors ....

No. I think it just might be relevant to talk about the things that consumers are actually buying.

Consumers aren't buying F150 fleet trucks. I have no idea how the math would work out. I'm fine with the averages.

Oh that's ok! Just get yourself a 50 year mortgage. That will cut your payments by 5% a month and have you paying 3x as much during the term of the loan. Completely fine.

I feel very fortunate I bought a house in 2015. Trump absolutely hates millennials.

[link=(You conveniently skipped over the part where the data showed vehicle prices were not that much more than inflation over the past few years....)]https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CUUR0000SETA01[/link]LINK

Why would I "conveniently" leave out anything? Find your own numbers; I don't care enough to attempt to convince you. They'll all say that we've seen a spike since 2020 with car loans getting longer and longer and defaults increasing. Feel free to ignore that if you like.

Read some of the post in here moron and then get back to me. YOU may not be saying that but 85% of liberals are wanting a hand out because they can’t afford a house with a basket weaving or diversified sexual orientation degree. It’s not my fault you’re lumped into the group you choose to be associated with.

Young people regardless of political affiliation can't afford housing. Rough when a 1200 sq foot home is going for 600k.

I get your point its just that one segment of his base or another is always unhappy with DJT lately

Because he's lost his own script and is all over the place these days. This is a different Donald J. Trump than the first term.

It's like the 80 year old man losing his mind shite, which Biden certainly already had upon becoming President and was lost during at least half his term, is creeping into President Trump. Was bound to happen. That's what happens when people get old, and why we should never have someone 80 or older as President, VP, in Congress or sitting on the Supreme Court.

Time for JD Vance to take the ball. Hell...even if Trump remains President, make JD the face, decision maker and auto pen.

Ok

F150 quad cab lariat 4wd

2005 -- 35000 --
2010 -- 40000 -- 12.5%
2015 -- 42000 -- 5%
2020 -- 51000 -- 17.5%
2025 -- 63000 -- 19%

Doesn't seem to be that much more that inflation rates in the past few years. The year over year inflation from 2020-2025 likely averaged 4-5% a year. From 2020 the vehicle only went up 19.5%. Assuming 4.5% a year average inflation, the vehicle price would be 63500 in 2025.

I don't think it's because he's old.

It's because these are difficult problems and he's trying to act like a populist and thinks he can make everyone under his fractured tent happy.

The last thing he wants to do is anger the boomers and older Gen X, though. That much is clear.
