And yet tens of millions of American adults believe that teaching homosexuality is evil and can/should be "cured" is just as immoral and abhorrent.

The point of this thread is that Disney should be a safe channel for your kids to watch. It's no longer so.
Disney knows damned well it's target demographic, yet execs there believe these are appropriate themes for young children?

I used to feel the same way Roger, then I had two little girls.
The push to sexualize girls at younger and younger ages is ridiculous. I remember shopping for my five year old daughter and seeing some shorts that had "Juicy" written in s pretty script with hearts across the arse.
I've sat through dance recitals where the girls just a couple age groups up from mine were grinding.
I've fought the makeup fight so many times Ive lost count. The "they can't stay little forever" mantra should start when they are teenagers, not six.
Second and third graders getting smartphones and full social media accounts to take sexy selfies is disgusting.
I'm not worked up over this. I'm not going to go lead a campaign against it. We just simply won't watch it. My girls at 7 and 11 aren't old enough for me to be discussing such things with them. If you don't agree with it, that's fine. I've read too many studies about girls having strong father figures and seen it firsthand that I see an importance in being involved heavily in their lives. My job on this earth is to protect them - and that includes their hearts and minds, not just "cleaning my gun with boyfriends show up"
Fatherhood needs a real kick in the arse in this country. We like to point out the 80 percent of black kids born out of wedlock but no one wants to talk about the absent white suburban dads that are too busy chasing their own desires and only parent when they have to.
