I agree with you somewhat- however - If we’re still at war, nobody is arrested, and Congress remains impotent - Vance will ultimately be saddled with it by OG MAGA faithful, and republicans will be doomed to their original coalition.

No one but the most dedicated will ever listen to MAGA again if this is the case by 2028 and then Vance will have no choice but to distance himself.
The OG MAGA faithful are going to vote for whoever Trump endorses, but not sure how many of them will be left if things play out like it sounds like you think it will.

The reality is that Vance lacks the ability to attract a broad base of voters the way that Trump assembled. Without the big tent coalition that Trump has assembled Vance will get left behind. Rubio brings some of Trump's coalition with him but not the entire coalition although he is gaining on credibility with them. Vance is also saddled with Tucker who is as toxic as Epstein right now. Vance has to offload Tucker and work on building a bigger tent if he has any chance of winning.

I don't know what fantasy world you live in where you don't think women will vote for Gavin Newsome's hair regardless of his politics or track record.
For that matter, I don't know what fantasy world you live in where you think it really matters who the Democrats put up. Last two election cycles they put up a guy who was literally out of his mind and the worst, most incompetent, stupidest, least serious, biggest joke of a candidate that has ever run for the office; they won one of those elections, and had they pulled back the crazy just 10-15% more in the second it would have been neck and neck.
This idea that Democrats will never win again is just silliness.

Like it or not, this broad base that got him elected is shrinking by the day. They feel abandoned and lied to by Trump. There have been no arrests, no changes to the tax code, a new war, and increased spending.
The opposite of what they were promised. They’re not moving left or closeted democrats like many of the retards here say. Vance is uniquely positioned in 2028 to bring these people back, imo.

Unfortunately there will be a segment of the GOP primary voter base that won’t want him as the nominee SOLELY because of where his wife’s parents were born.
