I think this is an excellent point.

Trump admin is sweating every day Iranian regime remains in power.

Why don’t the people rise up? He 1) underestimated the power of the Iranian government because of 2) bad intelligence.

It’s Iraq 2003 all over again.

He has repeatedly told them to shelter until the situation is ready for them.

Why the frick would you want civilians roaming the streets while you are bombing their torture centers and militia centers?

Gassed up for $2.95 at Costco of all places this morning. Does the MAGA contingent on here really think rising gas prices are going to help bring grocery prices down and other things Trump promised to ‘fix’?

So you don't know grammar or finances. Got it.

I've never met a wealthy person who isn't pissed when his input costs double in 3 weeks. You desperately want to be perceived as wealthy.

The poorer people will be hurting with jacked up prices - not the billionaires. Their 401ks will be fine.

Who are we looking out for?

This is your problem. Those aren't even rookie numbers.

No.

But anyone who has been following US Presidential and congressional politics longer than 15 minutes knows that if this keeps going in the direction it's going for much longer, the Republicans are fricked.

The question isn't, will it put me personally in a bind. The question is, will it help put the pedo party back in power.

If you really believe this, then you're a moron.

Gas prices absolutely AFFECT presidential and congressional elections.

Do those AFFECT you?

It is funny to me that high gas prices were deemed as a political strategy on the left to force more green new deal policies.

Those policies would look a lot more affordable if the cost of gas was unaffordable (i.e. like it was under Carter).

Gas prices will come back down. Lloyds is more to blame for the current situation than Trump is.
But Trump is happy to take on the short term pain if mission success is reached (an Iran and Venezuela that do not need embargos).

Temporarily paying higher gas prices is a small price to pay for the demise of the evil Iranian regime.

I don't disagree at all.

But let's see how temporary.

Also, the administration could do a better job of messaging. Most Americans don't support the war (or whatever you want to call it), and the number that do shrinks almost daily.

Trump didn't do that. Market Speculation over oil supply and demand did that. It's called a KNEEJERK reaction. When you look at how much the US TRULY gets from OPEC, you'll realize Mercantile Speculation sucks.
