The entire thing is asinine. People are just putting themselves in tribes and vomiting the same tired arguments over and over again.
Break the loop, think for yourself.

Talking to me respectfully about morality ( as you have always done ) isn’t being an insufferable moralist. I know you as a friend and a deeply moral person, not a moralist. There’s a huge difference.
Thank you. I've always been a fan of your post, though we don't always see eye to eye.

Personally I miss the old days when the insufferable finger-pointing scolds that wanted to save your soul were holding a bible and hypocritically railing at you from your Right .

Yep. Conservatives.
If you define a conservative as one who wants to limit the size and scope of government, the only conservative faction in American politics since the end of WW2 has been the Robert Taft wing of the Republican Party, which all but disappeared until Ron Paul ran for President in 2008 and 2012.

Us Christians on right never intended you any harm and genuinely believed that what we were doing was good for you.
So it is okay for you to take your set of beliefs and values and try to force them on people because you believe that is best for people?
Maybe the left moralist feel that what they believe in is best for everyone and that what they are doing is good for you.
That's the problem. I think people should be able to see things from all points of view and from there they can create their own morals. You are just like the left moralist because both of you think that what you believe in is best for everyone.
I am not sure how they are trying to hurt you finances, job, family, etc. If you are referring to higher taxes, that's the beauty of this country, it's designed to protect people from the extreme beliefs. Checks and balance.

Tell us when the insufferable moralists on the right had this much sway on the media.
Is someone like Rush Limbaugh considered an insufferable moralist on the right? People like him are pretty influential. He spews a lot of bullshite and his people eat it up.

Mama mia. Anyone trying equate dixiecrats from yesteryear to to today's democrats is insane.
You're willfully ignorant. If you think Strom Thurmond and Bernie Sanders come from the same school of thought, you're a moron.

Dixiecrats were a breakaway from the Democrat Party.
Storms dead, Bernie is far more dangerous to everyone's way of life.

Poor Walt Teevens, The eternally triggered snowflake . Like a yo-yo on a string . Can’t face the fact that racism is ALWAYS wrong, even when practicing it and codifying it against unfavored people ( whites in the workplace, Asians in academia etc) is an article of faith for progressives. You love racism - as long as it’s applied as you see fit.

Arguing with you is like arguing with my retarded cousin. I might feel good dunking on your head for a minute, but I'd be embarrassed when I woke up the next day for even stepping in the slop with you.

You aren’t “ arguing “ anything. You are just proving the point of the thread and being an insufferable moralizing wanker. Melt on, Walt ...

Lsumpimp, you act like some forward "ahead of the game" thinker, but you sink down into the same mudslinging that you shite on. I am not better than you. You are not better than me. Accept it. Love it. Suck it's dick.

am I an a-hole considering I find the sign on the right hilarious?
Posted on 1/20/19 at 7:42 am to Lsupimp
How about neither. True believers on the far right and far left are ignorant pain in the asses. Ignorant with no self awareness.
Posted on 1/20/19 at 8:32 am to Lsupimp
I just stand here in the middle looking towards my right then left and laugh about how hard each side melts over everything the other does. Both are just the most sensitive snowflakes.
Neither side realizing that they're both mirror images of each other. "Did you you see what that SJW cuck did!" Did you see what that fascist, racist did!" "I'm so mad!" "Rabble, rabble, rabble."
Just a bunch of sad bitches complaining about shite they can't change.
I'll show my self out.

Dixiecrats weren't a monolithic group on issues outside of race and segregation. Many, like Senator Olin Johnston (also from SC), supported the New Deal, which would economically align them with Bernie's platform. And then you have the faction of Southern Democrats who modified their stance on race to continue getting elected. Look at Fritz Hollings. He put the Confederate Flag on the dome of the SC Statehouse as Governor, then became a liberal Democrat later in life.
