Using the term “ social Progressive “ for Republicans is a comically transparent way for you and other Democrats to try to appropriate their virtue. They were simply classical liberals. The same way they are now. They supported the Rule Of Law, Equal Protection and Individual Liberty just like they do now . Your party, and your creed STILL supports tribalism based on external features.

It’s hardcore religious belief and it will send your mortal soul to hell if you interrupt the party. I don't know about the media in terms of news but it's rather interesting to me how much things have changed with entertainment media since I was born.

The conflation of conservative/Republican to try to prove some party shift bs is one of the great lies that liberals tell themselves to absolve the Democrats of their true history. The dems are the party of slavery, the Klan, Jim Crow and opposition to civil rights. That has never changed. Lyndon "I'll have those n-words voting Democrat for 200 years" Johnson began the dependency and identity politics that characterize the dems today. Still racists, just with a slightly different twist.

Us Christians on right never intended you any harm and genuinely believed that what we were doing was good for you.

Talking to me respectfully about morality ( as you have always done ) isn’t being an insufferable moralist. I know you as a friend and a deeply moral person, not a moralist. There’s a huge difference.
