Has he looked in the mirror? He is perpetuate the same cultural issues he is now speaking out about. His whole show is literally dedicated to making Conservatives look stupid, evil or worse.

No civil war will happen unless the economy and quality of life of the US drops drastically. Comfortable people don't fight. No matter what ideological differences there are, if most people have food and entertainment, they won't fight.

Maher is good for some spot-on remarks every now and then. His analysis of the Democratic Candidates a few weeks ago was right on the money. Yeah, he’s ultra-liberal but at least he has the guts to reasonably call out his side.
He’s right here. If you truly believe the other side of the political aisle is evil, then there’s a natural progression from that point. It may take some time for that to play out & escalate but it’s not that crazy to consider.
