• $100 billion transferred directly to finance American war costs • Full and immediate normalization with Israel after the fall of the regime • Direct oil pipeline from Saudi Arabia to the port of Ashdod, turning Israel into a major energy hub • Investment of approximately $1 trillion in the U.S. economy + purchase of $500 billion in American weapons • Establishment of a new regional defense alliance, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other moderate countries under an American umbrella • Joint naval force to control the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb • Funding of strategic U.S. bases in Israel • Joint reconstruction fund for a post-regime “secular and moderate” Iran

If this is true this is awesome.

Would be better than anything our “allies” in Europe have done for us.

If that OP is correct, that is not a CF, that is a brilliant outcome. That is a big IF, however. So let's wait and see.

The one big issue being that it directly hinges on real regime change and ties us to that goal. There would be no playing fast and loose with stating regime change has happened when it clearly hasn't.

The implications of that are huge.

Agreed. There has been a regime change in a way, the leaders had to be replaced. Problem is, what we want and hope for is a regime IDEOLOGY change..which has not happened, and likely wont happen quickly (with a year or 2).
But it has to start somewhere. And of course we've done that. I say we just continue air strikes at any trucks, boats, launchers, etc that we locate. We cannot have the strait closed ever again.

In the meantime, build a fricking pipeline across that peninsula that buy passes Iran section of the strait

I'd trust their crown prince today more than any US Democrat and 98% of US Republicans. But 9/11 still looms in my mind.

If this is all true it is massive.

Massive shift from Europe to the Middle East in terms of an alliance and control.

This is something is so massive and historical and could lead to the next phase of what the world and life would be.

We're talking about the US having a partnership with the trident of Israel-Saudi-Iran with UAE as their little brother.

The level of dominance there.. we would be out of NATO in a flash and would move bases to ME, Greenland with possibility of relationships continued with Germany and others.

Obviously, different factors influence Trump’s decisions, but he makes up his own mind.
Unlike the last president.

We can trust them to do what is in their self interest. A half trillion dollars to neutralize Iran is a great deal for them.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see something like that come to fruition?

Not that I believe any of that but the Saudi's have about a trillion in cash so they could afford to pay this and having a regional friendly Iran would be worth the price.

And if they fricked us, they know how it went for Iran.

Fair enough, and good point.

Yep, the weight of 85% of the world's energy demand is now held by the USA. Heck, the petro-dollar is still King. Meanwhile, Iranian administrators are left to wonder "How do we pay bills since the USA has blocked the Strait of Hormuz?

Allegedly, the Israelis control the Saudis (and Jordanians), so it’s really a moot distinction.
