Worked for the first Bush, would have worked for Biden instead of Hillary. All depends on how well the country is doing and if they want more of the same or not. Bush screwed up raising taxes. Biden screwed up stepping aside for Hillary

But maybe DeSantis thinks Trump is kryptonite and will get everyone as long as he doesn’t go head to head

Exactly.

We were here all along waiting for someone who didn't read from the RINO script.

BTW, I WILL vote for DeSantis if he is the nominee...

You think there are more "Rinos" than there are.

They're the majority of people voting for Republicans.

MAGA/America First/Trumpkins are probably 1/4 of the GOP voting population. Enough to swing a fringe election here or there but not nearly enough to gain power. If they were, we've had enough elections since 2016 for them to take over. How many actual Congressmen or Senators do you have in place?

I keep telling you that Trump and Desantis are allies who will be running on the same ticket. I don’t understand why no one believes me.

Because that is a similar potential suicide path for RDS. Hell it even remove the hopium angle posted a few posts above, because he won't be able to distance himself from Trump at all.

I don't know that they will be running mates, but they are much more agreeable with one another than anyone on the Left will admit.

You are assuming proximity to Trump is bad, when it’s actually distance from Trump that is bad among republicans who might turn out for elections. Being close to Trump is an asset, not a liability.

Right. Trump is just tapping into the political movement that has been bubbling under the surface for decades. It rose to the surface with the Tea Party then again in 2016 with Trump. Between ascensions the RINOs and Democrats continually try to beat us or tamp us down.

Even if Trump is not in the picture they still have to deal with us.

Because Ron saw what happened to Pence and is way too savvy to hitch his wagon to Trump that closely. He has a pulpit and a profile of his own and he can stay arms length away if he wants/needs to.

Wrong.

Pence wasn't a victim of anything, he exposed himself.

I do hope that happens, but it’s pretty clear to anyone who isn’t filled with TDS that if DeSantis doesn’t run…it’s because he wants to align himself with Trump and his base.

You are in denial.
