Could be true, but I think the OP is overstating some things here & leaping to a few conclusions. Seems reasonable that any up & coming GOP politician would be aided by prominent GOP fundraisers. And Karl Rove has the cred of being in with Bush43's inner circle for so long. But what do I know.

Karl Rove's Super Pac gave Trump a shite ton of money in 2020. But OP doesn't want to think about that.

most of the meatball crew was the cruz crew. they don't much care about anything but getting OMB out.
