Its not invalid

When it comes to social issues, black folks agree with conservatives more than white folks do.

Its a popularity contest.

If you were to ask every African American if they would rather be in the US or Africa, I think the vast majority would say the US.

Yes, slavery was an atrocity. What happened was awful and unforgivable. But the descendants of African American slaves ended up with a better shot at life than their West Central Africa counterparts.

As shitty as that sounds to say, it is the harsh truth that no one speaks about.

They've fallen hard for the Democrat propaganda. But most of that is due to Republicans historically refusing to reach out to black communities.

Had Republicans done some form of outreach to black (or even Hispanic) communities in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, the far left wouldn't exist.

This isn't the case. Republicans typically endorse policy, not identity groups. They vote Democrat simply because the believe democrats want to help, which obviously is not the case.

Black people need opportunity, because pandering to them has created a multi-generational poverty that will never be broken.

If you believe Republicans need to pander, so be it but then it becomes an arms race that will never end.

You are clueless my friend. Gov Ron has been attacked since he first ran for office.
He was and is being constantly confronted by the msm for protecting children from groomers. Desantis is leading the pack of candidates in this regard.

Exactly. And it while it will all be drummed up bullshite, people pretending as if They won’t treat Ron exactly like they have treated trump is, and that his supporters will not be framed as fringe radicals, is just incredibly naive.

I mean I’m Irish, I know good and well “Irish need not apply” was part of US history, and I’m still way better off even though I probably had some ancestors get shite on along the way. Sucks for them, long term great for me.

Then you're obviously aware about how our New Basin Canal got built.

Beginning where the Lighthouse presently stands at the yacht club going all the way toward the area of what is now the Superdome.

It was a tremendous commercial boon for the city.

Dug by hand predominantly by the Irish, many of whom had just come to this country as émigrés.

Hot, gut wrenching work while being exposed constantly to diseases like Yellow Fever. Resulting in a significant mortality rate.

The Irish were used because the slaves were considered too valuable to risk.

That simple, but well-done plaque of remembrance for what the Irish accomplished presently located near West End on the neutral ground was put there through the efforts of Howie Farrell.

If it's so that those who die violent deaths tend to linger in the area, that wide, expansive neutral ground along West End Blvd could very well be the most haunted area in a city well known for its hauntings.

Have never walked it at night.

Wtf did he expect to gain from saying this?

The easiest way to tank your campaign is to say anything that could remotely be construed as offensive to our sacred cow protected classes.

Do you know that for a fact? The truth is, we have no idea what Africa would be like if slavery had not happened.

How do you know if several 100 slaves would not have modernized their nations had they evolved there?

DeSantis, like Christie, isnt in this to win. They are there only to take out Trump

The only other Republican that would say something like this is a guy named David Duke. Its just dumb
quote:

Amazon, AT&T, Comcast, and Walmart are among the companies that publicly proclaim their commitment to anti-racist values

But research by the Center for Political Accountability, a non-profit organization that tracks corporate political spending, shows that these same businesses to the DeSantis, and are now taking heat for doing so.

quote:

“These corporations can say that they stand with the Black community but then also fund the governor and his work around dismantling Black history,” said Jasmine Burney-Clark, founder of Equal Ground, a progressive group based in Orlando, Florida. “It’s a huge level of hypocrisy.”

Yes it is. It's why Trump made ground with them.

He actually thought to make them a priority rather than a lost cause.

Trumpers are happy to lose the culture war and ideological war to elect Trump.

It’s a bizarre position.

“Only Trump can fix this! And he’s going to fix it by moving to the left!!”
