He needs to gain the weight back. He got upset when Trump made fun of his weight, which is funny you'd even care about that considering Trump is a big dude. But he lost all that weight and the skinny face doesn't work for him. Ron needs to put the weight back on and have a fuller face again.
He looks more commanding with the weight. Looks like a little dweeb since he lost it.

I'm with this so-called "MAGA contingent" and will support DeSantis in '28 as long as he stays away from folks like the Bush Gang and doesn't listen to pollsters like Frank Luntz
There is zero indication he is friendly with or associated with either of these crowds.
Again, more evidence this board isn't comprised of serious people. You talk about politics like it's a comic book plot and we have heroes and villains.
A month after dropping out, DeSantis is trying to push for a Constitutional Amendment for congressional term limits but yall are talking about this childish fanfiction garbage.

I don’t know but he has certainly helped your post count, that’s for certain.
To answer your question however, poorly ran campaign and certainly hurt him in the short run.
Long run remains to be seen but he wouldn’t be the first politician written off at one time who went on to achieve bigger things later.
I still like him.
Now, onward to GOB hopefully getting a victory in November.

If he runs in 2028 following a Trump presidency, it may be the dumbest decision he's ever made
For all we know DeSantis may end up in a Trump Administration and Trump will give him a new cool nickname like he did with Ted Cruz.

Absolutely.
See the rise in "right wing populism" Collectivism has no place on the right.

I think his governorship tells us practically nothing.
DC and Tallahassee are apples and oranges.
W as president was nothing like W as governor. Clinton as president was nothing like Clinton as governor.

Correct
These aren't serious people
They’re voting for Homecoming King. Life is just one never ending high school.

Hurt him in what regard?
Surely he learned his lesson and will never run for POTUS again. He was completely rejected by MAGA who now run the party.
He should finish out his term in Florida and cash in via some private business.

My guess is that he won’t go near that clown show with a 10,000 ft pole.

Yep, DeSantis needs to stay far away from anything related to the administration.
I will be extremely disappointed in him if he sells out.

BS. He took on Disney. He took on the groomers in the schools. He took on Fauci and Trump.
That tells a lot.

Why would that be selling out? Ron is good at executing.

I think he's good. The experience likely served him well and he didnt truly alienate himself from the base. The campaign itself was ugly, so hopefully there's some lessons learned but He's still the future.

It's more of how bad 2028 will be for any non-DEM.
2028 (following Trump) would be 2020 on steroids.

I was being kind, but yes.
They so desperately want to be the cool kids.

It was Cruz 2015 2.0. Same losing strategy, practically the same campaign staff and same supporters.
