Bill Barr, John Bolton, Jeff Sessions...

All terrible reads. What does that have to do with this thread, about Ron?

Did Ron running help or hurt him?

When Trump loses to Biden again, DeSantis will be able to lead the Republican resistance against Biden's agenda and then run an "I told you so" campaign aimed at low-IQ GOP primary voters like yourself.

quote:

He will have a difficult time beating Josh Hawley in a primary, IMO.

That would prove that the GOP base is retarded.

quote:

It hurt him in terms of seamlessly adopting MAGA for 2028.

MAGA has to vote for DeSantis in 2028. They promised Ron would be the man in 2028, so they have to put their primary votes where their mouths are. It doesn't matter if Trump runs again after losing to Biden, if Don Jr. runs, Vivek runs, Kari Lake runs, etc.

You're correct in that RD may never be POTUS, but which is it? Policy or personality?

He doesn't entertain them

They care more about that than policy

Correct. MAGA isn't filled with conservatives. They're liberals and moderates who care more about entertainment than conservative policy. They view politics like WEE. They value soundbites and social media posts over track record of implementing conservative policy.

quote:

He fricked himself for '28 IMO.

Nope. You and everyone else in MAGA who said he's the guy in 2028 have to vote for him in the primary, regardless of who else runs. If you don't then you're hypocrites.

quote:

And frankly, he's not even likeable/affable as a person although most of his policy decisions have been top notch so I'll give him that.

You know who else was likeable/affable? Bill Clinton and GWB. Bill Clinton gave us leftist judges and shoved cigars up the vags of underlings in the Oval Office. But that's okay. He was likeable. GWB wrecked the economy and got us into the Iraq War. But that's okay. He was likeable.

My goodness, you MAGA folks are just like the suburban women that don't like Trump that you hate. You hate that they vote with their feelings for who is more "likeable" and "decent", yet y'all in MAGA do the same fricking thing. Y'all are just as pathetic as those suburban women.

Hopefully Trump has learned something when it comes to reading people with regard to staffing.
Back to the topic of this thread, hopefully Ron has learned something about reading people with regard to campaigning.

It's fun watching a total and complete caricature pretend that everyone else is one as well, isn't it?

It’s crazy how Trump kicked Ron’s arse but he can’t beat Biden.

He needs to pick a side before 2028

His side will be "I've never lost a General Election, and Trump just lost 2 General Elections in a row to a dementia patient." He'll be able to say I told you so and drill that into the heads of every MAGA person. "Hey GOP primary voters, are you tired of losing General Elections yet?"

quote:

Vivek will destroy him in 2028 if he runs the same campaign.

This will prove that MAGA is a cult who only cares about personality and not policy. Vivek advocated for teaching 8 year old children about sex in school and sided with the media on "Don't Say Gay" against DeSantis.

Would you like a preview?

He will not. In fact he will double down on his childish loyalty pledges and hire less competent people than before.

I'm with this so-called "MAGA contingent" and will support DeSantis in '28 as long as he stays away from folks like the Bush Gang and doesn't listen to pollsters like Frank Luntz.

He isn't associated with any of those people, but it's interesting that you said you won't support him if he does, yet you support Trump who has done the following:

-Hired Karl Rove as an Advisor in 2020 and took advice from him in 2016
-Hired a staff where the majority worked for Bush, McCain, or Ryan
-Hired 2 Senior Advisors who both worked for Bush in Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita. LaCivita is also one of Paul Ryan's closest friends and ran his PAC while he was in Congress
-Has a top state director, Trevor Naglieri, who worked for Jeb and is very tight with the Bush family

What gives?

he did exactly what Fauci told him to do

Trump literally got angry with both Kemp and DeSantis for defying Fauci in April of 2020. He even got on the phone with Kemp and complained that the press was being mean to him and essentially told him that small business owners can go frick themselves.

But yes, you certainly like DeSantis. Same guy who defended Newsom against DeSantis and agreed with Ric Grenell that DeSantis was homophobic for not bowing down to the gays during "Pride" month.

We still havent recovered from Donny giving unemployed people $700 a week for almost a year, longer in some cases.

And I didn't even mention that Trump hired John McCain's former confidant and staffer, Steven Cheung, as his Campaign Spokesman.
