But not theirs.

The legislation, offered by Reps. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) and Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.), would require sitting presidents and vice presidents, and major-party nominees for those offices, to make public their 10 most recent federal income tax returns. The bill is aimed at Trump, the first president in decades not to release his tax returns.

“Being able to scrutinize the tax returns of a man or woman seeking to occupy the most powerful position on earth is a low bar, and one that candidates long abided by until 2016," Pascrell said in a news release. "Americans have a right to know if their President is a crook. Imposing this requirement will ensure that transparency and ethical behavior are minimum requirements for any presidential candidate.”

Pascrell has been a leader of Democrats' efforts to have Congress request Trump's tax returns from the Treasury Department — an action that House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) is expected to take later this year.

“Tax returns contain vital information for voters and the public, including whether an individual has paid any taxes; whether they made charitable donations; and whether they took advantage of tax loopholes or offshore tax shelters," Eshoo said. LINK

Virtue signaling little shite.

Like any bill of that type makes it past a veto unless added as a rider to something else more important.

Taking advantage of loopholes is immoral and we’re above that.

Let's bring charitable donations even further into politics. Great idea.

Trump's campaign manager and lawyer pled guilty to hiding income and not paying taxes on it for multiple years. It doesn't take an Einstein to see why Trump was the first presidential nominee in >40 years not to release his taxes.

Is it still TEN YEARS of the Presidents tax returns THEY DEMAND?

I just entered a citizen bill that they MUST release their slush fund bank account numbers and full ALL PAGES of bank statements.

Also: How much tax payer money EACH of them spent paying off them doodling with page boys like Barney Frank gobbler did. Also, all sexing her arse charges.

BTW, what's unfair about a law that requires presidents and opposing party nominees to release their taxes?

Is their income inequality insecurity so great that they've actually circled back to "muh tax returns!"?

Looks like it....

Maxine Yas Queen Waters and her bill for reparations, now this bill. For the party that preaches love >>> money and hate, they sure hate to see white non-liberals have money.

Super rich white libs are fine, though.

All three branches counter each other. There is no most powerful. Make them all release them as well as their spouse's.

Otherwise,they can all get fricked.

Their underlying premise is incredibly insulting: They honestly believe that it's not possible for someone to be financially successful without it being ill-gotten or dishonest.

Projection at its finest.
