She’s willing to blame white men on the sole basis of being white and male.

Anything else is nuanced and multifaceted and should be digested slowly.

DEI supporters will call one group names for insisting on merit and then promptly discriminate against that group first opportunity.

There is someone standing in the isle in the rear of the plane.

Me I would choose #7

Don’t worry, if they were DEI hires, Trump will make sure we all know. And I’m here for it.

Do we know what brought the plane to 'land' so rough? Haven't heard anything about the cause yet.

Either gross pilot error OR sudden shift in wind direction/speed that even the best of pilots couldn't have overcome.

Here's the best analysis I could find:

The first pilot in that video could do a hard landing on my face any day of the week.

Dude this is like saying that an affiliated minor league ball player is not part of the MLB organization. Unless you have a ton of hours on bigger or more complicated airframes (ie military) you don’t start at Delta, American or United. You start in their minor leagues (AKA regionals)

That’s correct, and just like many minor leaguers never make it to the MLB, many regional pilots never make it to a legacy airline. The pitcher for the Gwinnett Stripers doesn’t play for the Braves. Most people don’t know that - especially when media reports are calling it a “Delta flight.”

You think after all is said and done that they will still be employed as pilots

The captain almost certainly will. Unless the FAA steps in and yanks certificates, he’ll very likely remain employed, IMO.

I understand that you are a pilot. Would like your thoughts on the crash IYDM. Edit: Why would I get down voted? I sincerely would like his input on what happened being that he is a commercial pilot.

Tough to speculate, and I hesitate to do so, especially with their jobs potentially in jeopardy. Still more questions than answers for now.

Watching the video from the plane waiting to takeoff, I didn’t see a ton of instability. Conditions were obviously challenging, but I don’t see visible indications of windshear.

If the flight tracking sites are correct, their rate of descent was twice as much as it should have been when they were at 500’. It also appears they never attempted to flare, but again - there’s no real way to know until we get the flight data. There’s also speculation of structural failure that shouldn’t have occurred, even with a hard landing.

There are lots of “why” questions and not many answers at this point.

From the video the jet came in too hot a little too fast and approach angle too steep they hit hard breaking the landing gear, then breaking off a wing….. Anyone can see this……

When I watched the video for the first time, I thought to myself: “at that altitude, there’s gonna be 30-plus seconds of approach time until actual touchdown. Then, in just five seconds…BAM! That thing was smacking the tarmac.

Very unusual landing technique for sure.
