This is the same level of weird as that empty jeep stage after the election where they showed the stage then cut to a pre recorded meeting but messed it up so you could tell it was pre recorded but they really intent to have you think it was a live speech.

There is something very wrong with our country right now but I have an explanation for this. Most likely that is a boom mic with a screen on it called a dead cat. The sound guy for the news station is holding the boom mic lower and pointed up towards Biden. See link. How a sound guy is able to get a boom mic that close to “the president” seems odd to me without secret service intervening. I guess it is hard to get clear sound out of someone that wears a mask outside.

That boom mic would have to be about four times as large as the one this man is holding.
