It’s amazing how meaningless this news is to someone when they aren’t in any way dependent on the government. For anything.
Glad for the everyone who is missing a paycheck or working at no pay. But this entire event has been a nothing burger for me personally.

Thing is, nobody is actually going to miss a paycheck or work for no pay. They will get their full backpay. They are working for delayed paychecks and pay.
And the people who got furloughed or sent home or whatever? Guess what... they gonna get back pay as well. For not even working.

Cash pay will see an uptick.
If people want to cash pay, that's fine, but without proof of insurance they'll receive the tax from the irs. May be cheaper to go that route however.

Law passed by congress and signed by Trump in his first term

And that tax is zero. So there is no penalty for not having health insurance.

Yeah Memphis, you're correct about that, I was wrong. Penalty went away at the end of 2018. Please don't ax where my heads been.

Some motherfrickers are about six months from needing "grok" to remind them to fricking breathe.

Dems on Reddit are melting so hard, and dumber than a box of hair, lol:
quote:
The Dems just sold us out ! Thank you, Schumer. Whatever wins we've had in the past week is now gone. People, please don't just vote any Democrat. They're a controlled opposition and they won't hesitate to sell people out just like what just happened tonight. We had the Republicans on a chokehold and now that's all gone.

Chuck Schumer sold us out. Remove him immediately! Let Jasmine Crockett or AOC have the leadership.
