Milei cut 30% of government spending in Argentina. That's not the political talk for "cuts", which is just a "reduction in the rate of spending", it's actual cuts. He also was able to do that w/ only having a tiny percentage of his party in their congress.
Now, 2 years later, his party (which he started less than 5 years ago) is at 86% chance of winning the most seats on Polymarket. So, to say that Trump couldn't cut because it would be politically impossible is crazy talk. Argentina was a total socialist shithole just 2 years ago. Now, their youth favor Milei's party, La Libertad Avanza, by 4 to 1 over the next closest party.
Our government is expanding, not contracting. Love what Trump is doing w/ immigration, bashing the media, and exposing Shitlary and Obama, but there's A LOT left to be desired.

It got bad enough. Now hopefully we don’t have to get to the place Argentina was in to see the forest through the trees, but I could easily see white women and minorities getting fleeced by a Obama-esque clown again.

That’s not accurate at all. Extreme libertarians are not pro-life and for secure boarders and immigration reform, which Dave is.

Dave Smith pushes for more conservative policies than 90% of this board. He doesn't play the "oh he's doing 4D chess" game.
Trump campaigned on being hands off in foreign involvement, even ending wars. Smith called out Iran, Israel, and Russia/Ukraine. It isn't crazy to call that out.
Hell, Israel, by most accounts, is a top 5 military. The government is taking money out of YOUR paycheck to support them. Why?
I know some of you have your head so far up Trump's arse you can't see daylight but it isn't crazy to ask questions and critique. America first means America first, not "America first but Israel needs some help."

Bitch about inflation and COVID relief funds. Ignore who pushed for and signed those bills, going so far as to make sure his name was on the checks and letters they sent. shite on Massie for opposing it because he called the inflation part.
This board had a fricking meltdown when the big omnibus bill came through in Trump term 1. It was an absolute dog shite bill then Trump signed it and said "it's for our military but never again." Within seconds the mood shifted to "YOU WANNA STARVE OUR MILITARY?!" Hell yeah, let's sign off on a bunch of horrible shite that's an absolute waste of our money because the military.
"Learn to code" was a fun saying to attack government jobs until then. Most of the posters here are only as principled as Trump tells them to be.
