I know most of you are aware of this, but for those who haven't seen the actual letter, it's in the link.
The letter is absolutely brilliant

Written very eloquently.
In a TL/DR summary, he politely paraphrased that they're a bunch of mentally ill, enabling fricktards who are detrimental to society and are socially and mentally poisoning themselves, their colleagues, their students, America, and the world with their self-loathing, indignation and woke-ism.
It was just as good a read the second time.

But look at the school’s response. The loons simply double down. They’ll never stop.
quote:
Brearley’s head of school fired back Friday with her own message to the school’s families, calling Gutmann’s letter “deeply offensive and harmful.” “This afternoon, I and others who work closely with Upper School students met with more than one hundred of them, many of whom told us that they felt frightened and intimidated by the letter and the fact that it was sent directly to our homes,” Jane Fried wrote. “Our students noted that as this letter, which denies the presence of systemic racism, crossed their doorways, the evidence of ongoing racism – systemic or otherwise – is daily present in our headlines.”

They should be ashamed of such a pathetic response

Shocker.

They'll stop when they can't find anyone to pay them $54,000 per year to teach their kids. The response of the school is not important at this stage. What is important is the response of all the other parents who have enrolled their daughters at that school to the letter since he sent a copy of it to every one of them.

Young people today who aren’t goose-stepping with the woke crowd will be tomorrow’s leaders by virtue of mental toughness. Imagine cowering in fear because of words. The left will fall like a house of cards when the right starts pushing back.

It is the Achilles heel of the Left, and a humongous failing of the Right - that nobody has had to provide legit definition to “systemic racism” and give examples that show it is a scourge in America.
I’m not a fan of a shite ton of violence as the first response to the Leftist BS gripping the country today (though it may come to this), and don’t understand why the Right is finding such difficulty finding its voice. The first wave of pushback should be political and strategic. There are tens of millions of Americans in the middle and middle-Left that would recognize truth and logic if presented it. The number of looney Leftists isn’t nearly as large as perceived.

Many of the students were frightened and intimidated by the letter.
It truly is all about the feels.

“Systemic racism”
As in the “system”.
Do these people still not realize that virtually every “system” in this country is run and controlled by the Left? Or at the very least run by Establishment Collectivists with no intrinsic or fundamental Conservative/American values?
Aside from the gun industry and maybe rural law enforcement, can anyone name an industry/complex/system not run by the Left or the Deep State/Establishment?

Codified policy (not necessarily racially explicit) that specifically disenfranchises one race over another.

This is where it gets murky. Instead of going line by line to analyze public and private policy and looking for ways it might disproportionately affect one race over another (and very importantly - finding examples that do not so as to celebrate and propagate them), activists are taking messy shortcuts and trying to reverse-engineer the process by finding areas where they feel blacks are over or under represented and declaring that variance to be the result of structural racism.
It would be really helpful to look at something like the Free School Lunch program that should apply universally to students under Income Level X, seek out results (enrollment, utilization, health outcomes, etc), then identify variances between races and investigate if policy might be the cause of those variances.
"We found a variance in weight problems between white students and black students and after investigation found that students in minority-majority school districts were being allowed to use lunch credits on non-approved lunch items like soda and candy in violation of program policy, we have adjusted this by taking actions X, Y, and Z."

Some of the comments are brilliant. This one in response to a poster who saw no issue with the school "asking" parents to sign a form denouncing racism.
"You have a remarkable comfort level with both coercion and assigning societal roles, worth, and guilt based on skin color. I wholeheartedly reject any attempt to be forced to ‘sign’ a document (hello, communist struggle sessions) accepting guilt based on an immutable characteristic, and I think your belief in your new apartheid is abhorrent. Shall we all present our children to government authorities within a few days of their birth for their classification, like in apartheid South Africa, Claire? CRT is a cultural dead end which devalues the individual and denies the opportunity for both redemption and individual achievement. When one’s assigned guilt or victim hood is inseparable from their physical being, there is no path forward. CRT is a toxic Marxist trap. Meanwhile, while professors teach our kids to hate each other based on their race, children in other nations are moving forward quickly with science, maths, engineering, literature, leaving ours far behind."

It was good he did it but loss some cred by capitalizing blacks and lower casing whites. Shows he has been indoctrinated.

This is what I was saying while Joe was talking during his campaign about systemic racism. He’s been in Washington for 50 years. He is the system.

I tend to always stop reading after seeing “deeply offensive and harmful” in response to an opposing view, but decided to cut through some fluff to see how correct this guy was to stop burning $54K+/year for his daughter to be fed this crap.
quote:
...Upper School students ...felt frightened and intimidated by [a] letter. [S]tudents noted that ... evidence of ongoing racism ... [is] present in our headlines.”
And everything he said about the school failing to teach critical thinking is validated by these last two sentences.
