I have walked out in the middle of Mass before when a visiting priest started saying Jesus would want us to believe in Global Warming
Walking out is not enough. Be a man and Fight. Talk to the Bishop. Explain why talking Global Warming in Mass is inappropriate when there are the Bible readings that need to be discussed in the Priest's homily.
Walking out is not enough.
Men have an obligation to stand up for what is right, and to speak Truth to Power, even if that "power" is a Priest and a Bishop.
Walking out in silence is not enough. Not anymore.
PS Of course I don't mean shout out during Mass, I mean making an appointment with the Bishop to discuss the matter, and then talk to the Priest.

I’m Catholic with a son in the seminary. I’ve learned over the last few years that not unlike all of us priest are influenced by particular issues that affect them as an individual or their parish directly. For example the priest of a parish with a high Hispanic population will be influenced by this with his political views. Some priest may be influenced more by abortion, gay marriage issues. No priest should push politics but instead should address issues and guide us in the church and Jesus teachings on the issue.

And your priest if you can be still a good Catholic while molesting little boys?

I get that confrontation is undesirable by most people, but organizations like the RCC have safeguards and appeals for a reason. They need to be used for reformation.

You are worried that "the Church" is angry at Trump, but you are still supporting and attending "the Church" after they admitted to abusing children for years. Hmmm, why would child abusers not like Trump?
Your Church lacks credibility to criticize anyone's personal behavior or political choices, so why do you worry about their worthless opinions? I will listen to their opinions on the Bible or God or Demons (which they do seem to know more about than other religions), but their political opinions I care nothing about.

Would he give Biden or Pelosi the Sacrament of Holy Communion? Any pro-abortion Roman Catholic for that matter.
If yes, he probably needs to resign.
He should be calling on y’all to pray for our President and all In authority.

It's a made-up story. Catholic priests tend to tread carefully in the world of politics during homilies.
Our priest isn't much of a fan of Trump and never mixes his political opinions when sharing the word of God.
Yeah I'm leaning towards this being made up trolling. Our priest, as I assume most do, leans conservative and the most outright political thing I've heard him say was the week before the election. He reminded us that we're going to be forced to choose between two flawed people, to pray about the decision, and make the choice you think best aligns with Jesus's teachings.
I think it's unfair to label anyone, conservative or liberal, as "ungodly" based solely on who they vote for. There are shades of gray to this stuff. Who you vote for pales in comparison to how you live your own life every day when it comes to following God's word

That is one of the Libtard priests. Our priest supports Trump and MAGA. He is a bit nuanced in his support by so am I.
For instance - I believe the focus of immigration enforcement should be close the boarder, get the illegals that commit crimes post illegal immigration, and remove all non citizen Muslims and Hindus and Chinese. It is these demographics that cannot and will not assimilate into western culture. The Hispanic people can and will assimilate and are close to western culture. If we don’t get the Muslim and Hindus out we are going to need as many Hispanic immigrants as possible. We are at a tipping point and need to tip it the right direction.

First, this is not the position of the Catholic Church.
Second, this is a personal position of that priest. He’s probably older because new priests are way more conservative.
Third, this is partially YOUR fault. After Mass you should have confronted him personally when exiting the church.
Pushback and education is the key. If he doesn’t put a lid on his personal bias, go to his boss and complain. Normally this is your local bishop, but he may be a priest in an order. But he has a boss!

Tell your priest to eat a dick and stay in his lane.

Tell him he should have excommunicated Biden and that he can’t be a good priest if he’s bufuing young boys.

This is why I haven't been to mass in a while. It wasn't sermons about Trump, but more various leftist ideologies (especially the support of illegals and DEI bullshite). This was also while we had people like Pelosi and Biden, abortion supporters, running the country and being allowed Communion as if the killing of unborn children was somehow okay with God.

I think it was difficult for me because the Priest gave what boils down to an ultimatum
What kind of ultimatum can he give? What can he do? They can administratively excommunicate you from the Catholic church (which is rather drastic) but he can't excommunicate you from God. He's just a man, a small cog in the organization.

Yep, converted to Episcopal from Catholic. Decided they were too woke, and this was confirmed by the Episcopal Bishop’s actions at Trump’s inaugural service.
We’ve decided that we can be christian without going to an organized religion’s services.

Since when did the Catholic Church have a problem with pedophilia? Isn’t that sort of their thing too?
