Scrooster cares about Cuba!

Because it’s important! If we say it’s important it just is

As a kid I helped my Dad dig a bomb shelter in our backyard in Bradenton, FL during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We did duck and cover drills almost daily, in school, during the crisis.

As an adult I was a member of the Regiment (2/325 PIR under Mad Jack Hamilton) from the 82nd ABN DIV that jumped into Pennsylvania, Indian Town Gap, to put down the Cuban prison riots after the Merial Boatlift in '80 when Castro dumped 100k criminally insane and violent murders on our shores.

They made an Al Pacino movie about it ... Scarface.

Members of my Regiment were awarded Humanitarian Service Ribbons for quelling the uprising ... we call them our "I Beat a Cuban" ribbons.

My youngest daughter and two of my grandchildren live in South Florida now ... Jupiter.

I want the Cuba problem solved once and for all.

Regards

Sounds like you and your dad were fricking morons. Mostly because no one was ever firing any missile against anyone else, but also because 6 inches of dirt wouldn’t have saved you if they had.

Sounds like unnecessarily being deployed as a result of bad policy.

I don’t give a frick. Cuba isn’t my problem. It’s not this countries problem either and it’s not “our problem” because you had to do stupid shite in the 20th century.

Cuba thinking.....if we fight the Yankee, we might get a better deal for ourselves in the long run, the Iranians seem to have done well.

Well, my strong hunch is U.S. policy towards Cuba will consider a multitude of factors past, present and future and likely won’t hinge on what you think one way or the other.

so you don't think Chyna has strategic access through Cuba? And if they do, you don't think it's a big deal?

I'm assuming you have a 100% isolationist mindset, and don't care about us making sure any of the world's nations lean American.

And? Their biggest issue concerning Cubans is whether or not the contractor that comes out to their house to fix stuff will speak English.

But the people of Cuba are suffering and I hope it stops soon; however that needs to happen...

One of these days, you might just figure out that nobody gives a frick what YOU give a frick about or don’t.

You’re just not that important, Sparky.

Cuba is probably excited about the hundreds of billions they’ll get to rebuild after we push them around a little
