The war was stupid, but Saddam eneded up having to be taken out, which led to chaos.
He was a guy who kept a balance of power in the region. You step on toes and he would send his sons and thugs to kill ur people. They gassed the frick out of iranians.
Once he was taken out, we had to stay and try to blance the power, as everyone tried to take a piece or grab something.
As shitty as Saddam was, he kept everyone in line.

This is all true.
I had a former employee from Iraq and he said that while it was widely known how ruthless Saddam was, at least they could live a normal daily life.

He only "had to be taken out" because he did keep his country in line and because he tried to sell oil without using USD. Our MIC couldn't destabilize the region and engage in endless war with Saddam still in power.

We had to stay to keep making money for the bankers and corporations. Balancing the power had nothing to do with it.

I spent 9 months in Iraq and I can tell you I support nothing less than America getting involved in another war that does not interest the people.
I’d support military intervention in Mexico, but aside from that; frick remaining in the Middle-East. Hearts and minds was bullshite. Those kids hated us and only was friendly so we’d give them candy.

No, we weren't. We were committed to making as much money as possible for people with more wealth already than they would ever need and installing puppet regimes to continue the flow of money and resources to the elite at the expense of common Americans.

Which would you rather have protecting your home?
A decaying cyclone fence with gaps and your watchdogs roaming the neighborhood
OR
Brand new wrought iron fence with spikes on top and 3 Bullmastiffs in top condition walking the fence line?

The ‘normalist’ of all possible normal daily lives is prison. I’d take ugly freedom over than type of normal.

Obama thought if he gave a speech that was the same thing as doing something.

I give credit where it is due.
Obama got Bin Laden. He gets the credit.
Trump finished off ISIS and has kept us out of endless conflicts that most all other presidents in recent times have us wrapped up in.
Trump did that and gets the credit.

Never forget that Saddam’s Ba'ath Party emerged because of a CIA sponsored putsch.
