If videos had "thought bubbles," you would have seen one for every other person on that train, saying "God, I wish the two of them would just STFU."
Why would every other person wish the two of them to shut up? Again, you do this with malice wanting people to respond.

I said that my sympathies were WITH him.
As you imply he caused the "confrontation"

Again, I have no problem with his behavior.
Yet he was the cause of the confrontation, right?

A bit of free advice. Read and then THINK, before typing a response.
Lol, perhaps you should heed your own advice.

You are a chronic instigator and it seems you get enjoyment from it. By all means proceed. Every court needs a jester.

There are 3-4 posters who were called out and, as far as I saw, haven't even posted in this thread.

But sure, "why do you guys always make these threads about you."

The weakest people in our society are those who refuse to admit when they are wrong. You wear this like a badge of honor.

Where? Please quote the exact language of this "implication." You are delusional.

"Wrong" about what? Thinking that the people on that train just wanted to complete their commute in peace and simply did not CARE about the merits of that confrontation?

Let's be clear here. I opined that most people just don't CARE that much about the political squabbles that interest us on this forum. And that opinion made a dozen or more of you completely lose your damned minds. Sad.

But since you (unlike the rest of the village) asked reasonably-politely, my sympathies in this confrontation (yes, it was a "confrontation ... get a dictionary) lie with the guy in the red gimme cap. The woman was FAR out of line. None of that changes the likely assessment of those other commuters, who probably just wanted it to stop.

I have no problem saying that the people on there were thinking I wish the woman would STFU. The guy in the Trump hat did nothing to her. Some people are so weak-minded they can't bear the thought of someone wearing a red hat with the letters Trump on it. Yes, you said the lady was far out of line which no one will argue with.

But again, you implied that it was both sides fault.

Didn't you just talk about this?

You said it the way you said it because you knew people would respond, like you wanted.

In the grand scheme of life, no one, not even the zealots on this board care as much about politics as they portray here.

Why should I? You can't either but that's beside the point.

that confrontation?

The video does not answer that question, as the camera does not start rolling until the confrontation is already underway.

But it is not unreasonable to infer that the woman was more likely the instigator.

None of which is relevant to my initial post.

But think a minute about something.

This video hits our screens.

For 99% of the posters here, their first thought is about picking sides in the confrontation, while my first thoughts are sympathy for the poor non-participants who have to put up with it in order to get home at the end of the long workday.

And you people think that I am the one with some psychological defect.

Zealotry versus empathy. Think about it.

But you won't. That would require self-reflection.

Yeah. I don’t think most would be saying why don’t they both shut up.

Most would recognize this shite starter and wonder why she can’t shut the hell up and leave people alone.

I have thought about that. While you aren't wrong if you feel sympathy for the others, it's pretty obvious who started the whole situation (unless more footage comes out showing something different).

Usually we see stuff like this on social media. I personally have never seen anything like this happen where I have been.

Something else to ponder, why do people do things like that? Why lash out because someone wears a hat for a politician they don't like? Why do they think it is okay to do that? or to destroy someone else's property?

There is no way to say this gently.

Because the vast majority of humans are low-IQ, emotional children.

I reflect on myself all the time. I'm not perfect and damn sure have made mistakes throughout my life.

You talk about empathy, do you have any for the man wearing the Trump hat? What exactly did he do wrong? We know you care about the other passengers feelings.

I disagree. I suspect that most on that train did not realize that there WAS a confrontation until it was already in process. They did not SEE who instigated it.

And they were tired at the end of along day and ... just ... wanted ... it ... to ... stop.

These people have never had to deal with any consequences for their actions.

Parents stopped putting belt to arse and kids grew up soft. Imagine thinking you can just reason a toddler into behaving when they're throwing a tantrum.
