I think the needy in America have much better access to care than the needy in Africa who are dealing with things like HIV and Ebola. The situation there is a little more dire.
Yes, people here need help, too... but he's a guy who can decide to work anywhere in the world he wants.
It would be like her getting pissed off that an accountant from Colorado decided to move to Australia and work there. Who is she to tell somebody where they can and cannot work?
Plus, who says this guy is going to be working in Africa for the rest of his working life? Maybe he's spending time in Africa and will eventually come back and work here.
The whole thing is just stupid.

God isn't telling the Jihadists to fly planes into buildings, abolitionists to blow up clinics and to blow themselves and others up. God doesn't tell people to harm innocents.

Thought provoking article from Ms Coulter which I suspect was her intent. I do believe she accomplished what she set out to accomplish. I realize its often difficult for some here to read words that don't mesh with their sensibilities. Tough titties.
