She points out that there are people suffering in the U.S. but is vehently against any kind of government aid, whether it be financial assistance or medical care, to those suffering. So I don't know what kind of point she's trying to make -- those with Ebola and live in abject poverty should find jobs?
America will always have a poor problem but most don't live in shanties and drinking contaminated water, while being decimated by exotic diseases.
She's aware of how she phrased it, it's just about making the subject about her somehow -- gives her something to talk about on Hannity. Nothing more and at the expense of Brantly's family and their suffering

I rarely agree with Albert Mohler on anything, but he hit this one out of the ball park LINK

Where did I say that I support abortion? This should be great fun.

We wouldn't hear all the superlatives about Dr. Brantly's "unusual drive to help the less fortunate" or his membership in the "Gold Humanism Honor Society." Leaving his family behind in Texas to help the poor 6,000 miles away -- that's the ticket. ...There may be no reason for panic about the Ebola doctor, but there is reason for annoyance at Christian narcissism.
tru dat,, don't really care what these globe trotting do gooder asshats do, but when they get sick, arrested or otherwise phuk up because they are in the wrong place, I don't want to pay the bill for bailing them out, exactly what's happening here..

You're not paying anything, you dumb piece of shite.

“Why did Dr. Brantly have to go to Africa? The very first ‘risk factor’ listed by the Mayo Clinic for Ebola — an incurable disease with a 90 percent fatality rate — is: ‘Travel to Africa,’ ” said Coulter. “Can’t anyone serve Christ in America anymore?”
Yeah, lets not go serve there because its pandering for attention.
What a C-Word

Nobody would know he existed if he didn't get sick.

I get what she's trying to say, I think (that there are people in America who need help just as much as people in Africa)... Thing is, Samaritan's Purse helps them as well. Take almost any natural disaster... who's one of the first to set up a tent and start clearing rubble, passing out water/food, etc. and help rebuild... Samaritan's purse is usually in the mix.
I just don't get why she said it the way she said it... well, actually I do... she said what could have been said in a much less inflammatory manner in the most inflammatory manner possible in order to get people to read her article. Nothing more.
This post assumes that Coulter is actually trying to make a point worth considering. She is not. She's a fricking publicity seeking shite stirrer. She makes Laura Ingraham appear reasonable, and that's a damning indictment in and of itself.
