- 65,000+ population
- 35 cases at one hospital with 10 people discharged
- Not really sure about the other hospital as they have have mostly refused to release their data but I do know they have 3 cases from a local report the other day
- Total so far is 39 cases (from what we know since that hospital is being shady) with one being a woman at a nursing home (the person recovered and it didn't spread)
- 5 deaths are being reported at the hospital that has 35 cases

I don't know how many are from out of state in those numbers. The Alabama Public health site is not a good gauge to get numbers (since they only include Alabama residents) for this area because the hospital serves residents of Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. The very first case was from someone who came from Georgia.

For instance..
Caddo has more cases, twice the deaths, and less than 5% the pop

Cobb County Georgia reporting in.

Population of around 800,000-900,000

456 cases, 23 deaths.

Some additional interesting info:

Of the 18 men, aged between 33 and 87, 12 had an underlying health issue, four were not known to have any existing medical conditions, and two were confirmed to be healthy before becoming infected with the virus. Those two otherwise healthy men were aged 56 and 67.
The five women who have died from the virus in Cobb were aged 63, 67, 75, 82 and 85, and all but one had an underlying health issue. The otherwise healthy woman who died was 82 years old.

Still know of none infected personally and I work in an ‘essential’ area of the county

You were downvoted within 1 minute of your response...

there is a 2/3 chance it was one of them because they are pissed you figured them out. The 1/3 chance is because it was one that wasn't given an honorable mention. mmcgrath has been active as of late, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt... doesn't really seem to be TigerDoc's game either.

texshidder is more of a night owl... so...

Who’s downvoting population and corona stats?

I commented a while back on the number of down votes indicating that there were enough jackasses on the Politics board to outfit the Confederate army. I got downvoted.

Ruined seasonal businesses.
People are hopeful for the summer, as am I, but the American public has shown that critical thinking is absent, and our collective fear will carry us on for awhile.
