What is her accountability in this instance?

So, she raped those two boys?

This idea that women can never be held accountable for their actions is so weird.
Just things like sex and murder.
They will let you know after the fact if they are responsible for those acts.

Rapes or alleged rapes of college girls
See, that is the issue here, Cubs.
All we know is what the woman has said about the episode.
Based on her account, were the two men she initially participated with capable, at all, of consenting to her advances?

I should have used more precise language: incapacitated people cannot consent. I don't care to familiarize myself with the details of this incident. I'm not making a moral judgment about what happened to or as a result of anyone involved.
You’re commenting on a thread about an incident that you don’t particularly care to familiarize yourself with? ………….I’m sorry, what?

Did the other participants feel violated or express that they were taken advantage of? Does that even matter?
What someone feels is pretty irrelevant. Aside from obvious cases of coercion, others have to go off of the words you use since none of us can read minds. If a female or a male for that matter initiates a sexual encounter and then proceeds to complete that encounter, all while giving verbal consent, it really isn’t the responsibility of the other party to decipher their feelings in the matter. Certainly, we shouldn’t prosecute people for “failing” to identify what someone really feels or means, particularly when those feelings are contradictory to the verbal statements that were made.

Well, having read that article and the messages she had afterwards, I stand corrected.

Not sure what her account is, but what do the other participants say? Does what they say even matter if they were incapacitated? I'm sure there is a legal answer to this, but what is your moral judgement? Would someone who is incapacitated have to believe they were violated for them to have been violated?

The girl is a whore and the boys are degenerates. We can all move on

In this case, by her own telling of the event, one of the boys was passed out and she temporarily stopped fricking the other one to check on him. The other one was almost throwing up…and she waited for him to settle down before starting up again.
This is a case of a rape of a college boy.

THIS is the reality of the situation. It's not nearly as complicated as anybody who wants to make it out to be

Most of them aren’t saying a damn thing since millions of people have already labeled them sexual predators deserving of life in prison. People who make that determination without any of the relevant facts.

100% if the story was a girl was throwing up and passing out and a guy proceeded to check on her and then frick her some more, the pitchfork crowd would be out in force for arrests to be made.

So, because she originally said she consented, she wasn’t violated? Is that your point?
Moral judgement is a wholly different question and off topic.

quote:Touche and fair point. But I posted about the oddness of the existence of police departments on public university campuses initially. Then I moved to discussing general consent. I never made any judgement about these specific events themselves. I'm not trying to portray myself as an expert.

quote:I think this is debatable, depending on the circumstances. If a person with an intellectual disability is raped, I agree that the victim would not need to fully grasp that he/she was violated for the crime to be a crime. If two drunk people willingly have sex and neither feels that they were violated - did a crime occur? Of if a husband and wife go out and the wife gets drunk and wants to have sex with her husband when they get home - would that be rape depending on her BAC? This gets extremely nuanced.
What someone feels is pretty irrelevant.

I remember the Duke lacrosse nonsense and the the Univ of Virginia story that Rolling Stone was moving heaven and earth to legitimize. Maybe she's telling the truth, maybe not. But these boys deserve to be heard and their day in court, too.
