The problem for any police or citizens who think she was raped is that she SAID she consented at one point

Exactly. Every single person you hear acting like the prosecutor just didn't give a frick because boys will be boys is a complete retard. I don't give a frick what really happened because the bottom line is it's a massive fricking uphill climb to try to convict people of sexual assault when the victim has told three fricking different stories including one that said she consented. And anybody who thinks you should be able to convict somebody of sexual assault with that being on the record is an idiot

She then proceeded to compose a 6 page statement - edited 20 times - which described what happened as "conscious and consensual". The DA saw this and refused to prosecute, as there were no crimes even alleged.

And one more thing. People have really fricking terrible critical thinking skills. First off they keep saying stuff about the other people on the message. But nothing in the message actually said a crime was taking place. It's like everybody just is going to pretend that group sex and never happens on College campuses! LOL these people need to get out and fricking touch grass.

Second. Do these idiots really think that multiple different young men openly admitted to rape in writing via text? I mean just a little bit of fricking critical thinking skills would work there

And of course let's not forget that she texted one of the boys a couple days later saying she'd like to do it again. Her attorney has given a really pathetic attempt at justification for that one

So here I'm going to tell you what really happened using just basic critical thinking skills. What really happened is once she gave that statement the first time the prosecutor told her she was fricked. But there's no way that incident went down without the entire fricking school of hearing about it. Which was obviously not something she probably was proud of. So a couple of years later some lawyer convinces her she can basically try to extort the school and the boys. The lawyers plan was to Simply dump an initial statement to the public and let the mob do exactly what the mob has done during the Lindsey Clancy case. And hope it worked because even in a civil case she has no fricking chance whatsoever. So he was hoping to just squeeze them publicly.

You seem to think you have a point but excuse me. The only thing the Snapchat group said was free pussy. It didn't say you can come here and frick her even if she says no. It basically announced that they had a girl with them that was already snorting drugs off their dicks and doing a few different guys. Which may seem strange to most of us rational people but it's actually not that crazy uncommon among young people. It's certainly common enough that it wouldn't have made anybody really raise their eyebrows

There is no evidence that anybody in that group did anything legally wrong.

I'm not sure that's true. Her written report says that one of the brothers basically saw what was happening and broke it up.

It appears the threesome may well have been at her instigation.

The two males were, by all descriptions, bombed out of their minds. They were drunk to the point of toxicity ... to the point one was impotent and semiconscious, and the other was nauseated. She was not, and she attempted to reinitiate.

What is her accountability in that situation?

You sir, are a good thinker. Thumbs up.

Decent chance one of those guys - at least - did stuff to her without her really even appreciating it all. But guess what - that's hard enough to prove withou having given a goddamn sworn statement to the contrary.

At the end of the day, this shite is not feminism. All these people DO NOT want her to be treated as an equal. They want a special standard for women. It's obvious.

AND - and I'm the only person in the world who seems to be asking this question, and I'll eat shite if I'm' wrong - but they said you can whip it out .... and a thumb is blocking the ... I think there is some meaningful text under that thumb, such as "and she will suck"

I will eat shite if I'm wrong, but I contend that thumb is there for a reason.

It would be nice to hear of at least one guy doing the right thing.

And hopefully it wasn’t after several hours…

If those texts you quoted are genuine, then she wasn’t raped. Case closed.

Well you can bet this much. Whatever's under the thumb didn't help her! Because if it did it wouldn't be under the thumb

I will ask you the same thing I ask everybody who makes this assertion

If two people are equally intoxicated. They look at each other and both say hey you're hot let's frick. Are you telling me that they're both rapists? Or are they both victims? Or are you taking the hilarious feminist position that somehow in such a situation the guy is guilty and the girl isn't

Also I’m sure campus police are more invested in the kids. The city police in Boone really seemed to resent the students at App so you definitely would rather be busted by campus police back in my day.
Coincidentally the former head of ICE was a Boone city cop back when I was at ASU. No doubt we had a run-in considering some of the monkeyshines I got up to.

This could all be true. I personally never had any contact with campus police as an undergrad or graduate student at two different public universities in Louisiana.

It just seems redundant and creates more opportunities for mistakes or misconduct.

Perhaps.

But she gave the statement (a month after the fact), and it was referred to the DA.

What is her accountability in this instance?

I should have used more precise language: incapacitated people cannot consent.

I don't care to familiarize myself with the details of this incident. I'm not making a moral judgment about what happened to or as a result of anyone involved.

quote:

What is her accountability in that situation?

Did the other participants feel violated or express that they were taken advantage of? Does that even matter? In other words, can someone consent to something, then become incapacitated and carry out the sexual acts as intended while incapacitated - would their prior consent transfer past the point of incapacitation? I'm not saying that is what happened here, but it made me wonder. At what point does consent get withdrawn or nullified, if at all?

I agree, but the DA relied on on the campus police investigation. That's not much of an independent investigation.

How do you know it was "not much of an independent investigation"?

Also campus police are just as real as any other local law enforcement.
