The thing is every covid patient is “stable” on a vent until they’re not.

He isn’t out of the woods until he tolerates extubation for a few days.

Heard a guy talking about getting extubated several times and it sounded like Hell.

One of our patients was extubated for a few days and couldn’t tolerate it, got reintubated and sat for a few weeks until family withdrew care.

Unironically “many such cases”.

That’s the one he moved to last pm. Hillbilly.. I’ll come back and play when I leave my CC you couldn’t afford the initiation on much less an assessment, if you could find a referral to get you in.

And he took Ivermectin Where are BugAC, GeauxTigers, Jimmy the leg, etc? I guess they accidentally skipped over this thread

I’m here.

Serious questions...

At what point did he take the Ivermectin?

I mean, if he took it early / at home / prophylactic.

Secondly, what else was prescribed with it?

It’s cool that you get to spike the ball over this dude dying (potentially) , but it is one man.

You almost sound like an anti-vaccination type using one instance as the validation for your stance.

The questions I asked are relevant based on the studies that I have seen. No goal post moving by me as I have noted the timeframe of usage and the combination of drugs as being extremely important.

If those two questions can be answered (and he dies), then you can begin your celebration.

Did an illegal alien put Phil on a vent? Why even bring that up in this thread?

Because it is an elegant mirror image of those who delight in the Covid death of an anti-vaxer.

Yes. Unlike the deeply embedded entities in our government who are pushing for vaccine mandates. These wholly benign interests operate only for the betterment of humanity. That is why we should have total trust in our government overlords and their corporate benefactors in Big Pharma®.

Vaccine Makers Are Exempt From Side Affects Associated With Their Vaccines | The government likely won’t compensate you for damages either….

If you experience severe side effects after getting a Covid vaccine, lawyers tell CNBC there is basically no one to blame in a U.S. court of law. Under the PREP Act, companies like Pfizer and Moderna have total immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with their vaccines.

“It is very rare for a blanket immunity law to be passed,” said Rogge Dunn, a Dallas labor and employment attorney. “Pharmaceutical companies typically aren’t offered much liability protection under the law.“. You also can’t sue the Food and Drug Administration for authorizing a vaccine for emergency use, nor can you hold your employer accountable if they mandate inoculation as a condition of employment.

Congress created a fund specifically to help cover lost wages and out-of-pocket medical expenses for people who have been irreparably harmed by a “covered countermeasure,” such as a vaccine. But it is difficult to use and rarely pays. Attorneys say it has compensated less than 6% of the claims filed in the last decade…..

Look, I hope something such as Ivermectin will be shown to work.

But the nonstop message from places such as here that people with risk factors
shouldn’t take the vaccine and instead just wait and take Hydroxchloroquine..........wait I mean Ivermectin .......if you get Covid has been horrendous advice so far.

And how did you go an entire post without asking about reinfection stats? Haha

A deflection AND a melt.

FWIW, I have never been against the vaccines. You are conflating posts from numerous threads and posters.

I’m not sure why you have an issue with looking at medications that may help (if they are used in a timely manner and as described it the various studies.).

Some medications have been found to be effective for things outside of their design intent.

Lamictal was designed for seizures iirc.
I believe it is now being used for bipolar (I’m not sure if it is 1 or 2).

My issue is that the posters that are dismissing it as a potential treatment option are doing so using studies that:

- use ONLY Ivermectin

- use it LATE in the timeframe

- have incredibly small test groups. Hell, didn’t the NIH cancel a study because they could find enough people with Covid to participate...DURING a pandemic? I’m sorry, but that makes no sense.

The lack of studies, or the number of them that have been shut down / rescinded...and then seemingly rewarded for doing so (future funding?) is enough to make me wonder why?

You do you. I will continue to research potential options of treatment for me, my friends, and my family. I mean, I know more vaccinated people with Covid as I write than unvaccinated. An early treatment option seems like a good thing for all of them.

Peace.

His brother posted 12 hours ago that he is still on a vent, critical but stable. Same sentiments on his recovery.

He is already in grave danger on a vent. ECMO is a death sentence. I hope he doesn't have to go on it at all. He won't come off.
