Sure, but would you wish them Merry Christmas? Of course not.

18% of non Christian immigrants lean conservative. They are outliers.

If this is hard to grasp, I can’t help you any further.

You think assimilation includes converting to Christianity?

Our popular votes have been close enough per state that those votes have value. If they’re already conservative, we don’t have to pander to them.

An immigrant can assimilate without giving up traditional holidays or celebrations as long as it isn’ affecting any other citizens.

Dude sent out a tweet showing respect to those who practice the religion. He’s not asking to make it a federal holiday.

Stick with me here. If you keep mass importing non-Christian immigrants who vote 82% democrat, this will eventually hurt the conservative cause.

With regards to Hinduism and caste systems, it’s fascinating to see a devout leftist like yourself defend a religion that teaches some people are lesser than others.

I understand that, and I’m opposed to mass unchecked immigration.

Kash Patel, who is cited in the OP, is already in the US legally. I don’t have any problem with him and Hindus like him being part of the GOP, which is the point that was being made starting on the first page of this thread.

Cultural cohesion really dictates there should be one set of major holidays.

Individuals are free to celebrate whatever the heck they want for whatever reason they want, but greater society shouldn't be obligated to pretend every single holiday is of equal importance.

Can you point me to where in Kash's tweet that he advocates for Diwali to take on equal importance to US federally recognized holidays?

I'm challenging your assertion that over half of Chinese vote conservative. That's just not true.

No because in a lot of parts of India you will be targeted, and even killed, for being Christian. The ability to freely practice your religion in the United States is what makes our country the best country in the world.

Why not? Christmas is not an unknown or frowned upon holiday in India.

Remember, they were ruled by England for a long time. They have had plenty of exposure to the Christian religion.

And commercialism has brought Christmas to India in an even bigger way. Their shopping malls and department stores do it up, just like we do here. Not to the same extent, but they don't totally ignore it.

Besides, Kash was not wishing "Happy Diwali" specifically to American Christians. In fact, he was wishing it to everyone "around the world" who is celebrating the "Festival of Lights".

Go back and take a 2nd look at his tweet.
