I've been to Chattanooga recently and I'm not at all surprised that he was fired. That place has turned into a miniature Asheville, NC.

Yeah, this is dumb. He should be fired because he intended to be an antagonist to a bunch of people he does not know. He could just as easily have simply stated, "I love my job as a conductor, and in my humble opinion, it's the greatest job being a conductor and living in the greatest country on earth." And stopped there.
